We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Lead Project Controls & Risk Engineer

Description

  • Ensuring development of detailed resource loaded project baseline schedule by Contractor using Primavera P6 software.
  • Collating Contractor information updates from engineering, procurement and construction sources on a weekly basis; validate the information and enter it into the PMC primavera P6 schedule.
  • Reviewing Contractor Progress Measurement System (PMS) for the project.
  • Performing schedule analysis as required in each reporting cycle to identify slippages that could negatively impact on project completion milestones and communicated outcome to project team.
  • Reviewing Contractor project manpower histogram vis-à-vis schedule and provided updates in each reporting cycle.
  • Preparing and issue project weekly and monthly schedule status reports with relevant narratives (Critical Path status, Float Status, Slippage Status, Recovery Status etc…)
  • Reviewing and Issue 2 week schedule project look ahead plans.
  • Ensuring proper development, maintenance and update by Contractor of their Project schedule and plans as required (including their sub-contractors)
  • Participating in reviewing unpriced submissions of Contractor’s subcontractors.
  • Attending progress review meetings with Contractors.
  • Ensuring 100% of the project scope is captured within EPC Contractors schedule activities to fulfill project objectives.
  • Evaluating actual progress against planned and provided regular progress updates during execution of EPC support projects.
  • Reviewing and verifying project quantities reporting by Contractor by checking, comparing & reporting actual quantities against planned quantities on a weekly basis.
  • Verifying progress on activities submitted by EPC contractors using approved rules of credit.
  • Ensuring EPC Contractor Schedule development in line with PMC Project Control Plan.
  • Supporting the Project Controls team on other project controls activities not listed.
  • Development of Project Risk Management Plan and structuring of Project Risk Management System
  • Maintenance of Risk Management System
  • Carrying out quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and modelling
  • Development of an Integrated Schedule Risk Probabilistic model using Primavera Risk Analysis/Pertmaster
  • Supervision of EPC Risk Management Process
  • Maintenance of Risk Register
  • Leading Risk Management Workshops
  • Weekly and Monthly Risk Reporting

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. In an Engineering Discipline. A Master’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline or an MBA would be a considerable advantage
  • Minimum 12 years of cognate experience in relevant sector including a minimum of 8 years as a Project Engineer on similar projects

Other experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of cognate experience in relevant sector including a minimum of 8 years as a Project Engineer on similar projects
