Job Title: General Manager (Construction)

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the technical success of the company and ensure that suitable project management systems are in place to achieve scheduled milestones.
  • In this position, you will manage business risk throughout all aspects of the company’s projects activities. Establish work plan for each phase of project, confer with project team to outline work plan, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Oversee the co-ordination of projects by the project team to ensure project progresses on schedule.
  • Whilst serving as the lead figure for technical success of the company, you will deploy strong operational, analytical, and influencing skills as you will manage a wide array of capital projects and partner directly with leaders across business units and functions.
  • We need a critical thinker with strong analytical and estimating skills who can dive deep into the details.

Requirements
What you will need:

  • Ability to work independently and to plan, to organize and achieve priorities when performing work. You have a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, project control and organization skills with sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity across multiple departments.
  • Skilled in long and short term planning. Analytical ability to resolve challenges with permanent and temporary solutions.
  • Master’s in Business Administration
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in construction.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic reasoning, and creative problem-solving skills for complex problems.
  • Working knowledge of modular construction practices and safety requirements sufficient to manage all phases of project planning, construction and renovation
  • Experience managing a large volume of construction projects.
  • “Get it done” attitude. You will succeed in this role if you are a self-starter who is resourceful, collaborative, and solution oriented.
  • Demonstrated history of success in leading a team and managing multiple projects.
  • Advanced Excel / PowerPoint skills, Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.

Salary
N650,000 / month.

 

Job Title: General Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate the company’s solar projects.
  • Create project development schedule, project proposals and quotes, project budgets and financial analysis for the company.
  • Manage installation schedules and take off time lines.
  • Manage a highly motivated and sales performance focused team to meet and exceed the Nigerian customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the landscape of Renewable Energy stakeholders in the Nigerian market, including relevant regulators, legislators, and Renewable Energy market authorities to ensure compliance with local requirements.
  • Represents the company externally with government, statutory/regulatory bodies and business partners/allies.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasting, reporting and planning processes in line with ASolar Systems Nigeria Limited’s framework.
  • Position A Solar Systems Nigeria Limited for success beyond the Nigerian market.
  • Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks or increase efficiency of solar installation projects.

Requirements

  • 10 years minimum relevant work experience in renewable energy
  • Ability to be sensitive to ethnic differences.
  • Must be familiar with computer software programs.
  • Working knowledge of solar energy, battery systems, renewable power, and grid markets
  • A strong ability to understand complex business operations, business transactions, and credit requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Master’s Degree qualification.

Background / Skills:

  • Demonstrated performance of sales/business development in the Solar Energy market
  • Experience in developing sales programs direct to consumers, through partners and projects.
  • Experience in launching new energy-related business/products.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability for highly independent operation
  • Ability to execute many tasks in parallel
  • Ability to motivate a team around specific goals
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional organization, working closely with engineers, business operations, sales, service, engineering and other groups.
  • Deep passion for innovations on solar energy.
  • Travel required.

Salary
N650,000 / month.
