We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Optical Assistant

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Report To: Optical Services Country Manager

Job Summary

  • Optical Assistant is responsible for operation of the store, keeping the store profitable and well-organized to ensure a pleasing experience for our customers. In addition, the Optical Assistant delivers excellence in sales performance.

Responsibilities
Your duties shall fall include, but not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and coordinate all customer related activities.
  • Generation of Reports.
  • Entering of the optical daily sales of all branches into the required software.
  • Preparation of monthly sales report with the line manager at the end of the month.
  • Assisting the optometrist in attending to patients.
  • Assisting patients in choosing frames and lenses option.
  • Stock reconciliation at the end of the month.
  • Follow up on glasses ordered from the laboratory.
  • Ordering and collection of contact lenses when needed.
  • Preparation of HMO report at the end of the month for the accounting and audit department.
  • General report on sales.
  • General administrative work in optical department.
  • Receiving and assisting patients in accessing the appropriate optical services.
  • Providing effective clerical services and also attending to phone calls.

Qualifications

  • ONLY an Ordinary National Diploma is required in any relevant field especially in Humanities and Social Sciences is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in a relevant field.
  • A prior customer service experience is an added advantage.
  • Must be computer savvy.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Executive Assistant to the CMD

Responsibilities
Duties to include but not limited to the following;

  • Provide administrative support to the Eye Foundation Academy
  • Data compilation for monthly reporting
  • Database update and filing (manual & computer)
  • Assist in data gathering and design of newsletter
  • Assist in maintaining supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Assist in processing internal vendors request and packaging order
  • Order optometric supplies and maintain the inventory
  • Order lens prescriptions for patients
  • Prepare and monitor invoices
  • Recording and tracking payments
  • Assist in other administrative duties

Specification:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility and adapatability considering the nature of the system and cross units the person will cover.
  • Available to work on some weekends and public holidays

Qualifications

  • Maximum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in any social sciences e.g Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Data Management
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role is required.

Job Title: Nursing Officer

Location: Ijebu Imushin, Ogun

Job Summary

  • A Nursing Officer is responsible for treating patients who are sick and injured, counselling, offering advice and emotional support to patients and their families, taking care of paperwork, helping doctors diagnose patients and providing advice and follow-up care.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
  • Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.

  • Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse
  • Double qualification in Ophthalmic Nursing is an added advantage.
  • 1-year experience in Nursing and patient care.
  • Experience in Eye Healthcare is an added Advantage.
  • Must have a current practicing license.
  • Must be an intermediate user of Microsoft Office Suite {Word, Excel and PowerPoint}
