Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Check guests in and out.
  • Receive and manage reservations made online and telephonic-ally.
  • Verify guests’ payment methods during check-in.
  • Assign rooms to guests and inform them of any specials offered by the hotel.
  • Organise transport services for guests at their request.
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel.
  • Keep abreast of attractions that maybe of interest toguests.
  • Serve as a host/hostess atconferences,and ensure thatall relevant preparations are madefor the event.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years work experience.
  • Previous work experience in hotel as a front desk
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Title: Sales Girl / Cashier

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Post guest charges and credits into each individual guest folio on a daily basis.
  • Prepare bills and present them to guest at the time of the guest’s departure. Settle all bills on departure
  • Prepare the cashier’s report envelope and seal the envelope with the daily cash collection
  • Reporting for work on time and be well dressed, courteous and tactful in handling guests and customers.
  • Operate the accounting software system
  • Control safety deposit locker
  • Records guest settlements in a computerized cashiering system.
  • Maintain cash book for shift transactions
  • Settle guest accounts by accepting cash, credit card, travellers’ cheque, etc.
  • Balance the cash and close the shift
  • Make sure there is internal control maintained over all the transactions
  • Prepare reports as specified by the management
  • Counts money to verify amounts and issues receipts for funds received.
  • Compares totals on cash register with amount of currency in register to verify balances.
  • Prepares bank deposit slips.
  • Disburses cash and writes vouchers and checks in payment of company expenditures.
  • Be familiar with all menupricing at all outlets so as to ensure all F&B charges are correctly charged and amount collected as per the bill.
  • Establish Effective Employee relations, maintains the highest level of professionalism, ethic and attitude towards all hotels guest, clients, head of department and employees.

Required Skills and abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years work experience.
  • MUST have experience in hotel cashiering
  • Must be able to use a cash register.
  • Must be familiar with software application (e.g. POS)
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of calculator/adding machine.
  • Move effectively and efficiently throughout the hotel
  • Document and comprehend all reservations, inputs data into the reservation system.
  • Basic math skills to process payments

Job Title: Chef / Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers.
  • Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes.
  • You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.
  • Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks

  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

  • Responsible for overall business performance of the hotel through efficient operations, effective cost controls, inventory and profit management
  • Achieve company objectives in sales targets, food costs, service, quality, ambience of the hotel, sanitation and cleanliness through continuous training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Administering fair and consistent corrective action for any violations of company policies
  • Ensure staff compliance with the company policies and health and safety standards
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Ensure that all inventory received and final product meet the required quality standards.
  • Responsible for minimizing wastage by ensuring the efficient use of resources (e.g. packaging, stationery, disposables, etc).
  • Planning adequate cover for absence to ensure the smooth running of business operations.
  • Ensure that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, professional and courteous service at all times.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, fitting and facilities and ensures prompt repair in the event of any fault or breakdown.
  • Responsible for handling and resolving customer complaints
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND qualification
  • Minimum of 4years experience
  • Work experience in management and the hospitality industry is an added
  • advantage.
