Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Manage Safety functions in line with business policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensure conformance with safety and OHSAS 14001 & 18001:2007 standards
  • Identify system problems, investigate and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in Safety Incident Investigations and Risk assessments
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations of non-conformances and take necessary corrective and preventative actions.
  • Motivate and oversee the implementation of Safety improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and attend regular Safety meetings.
  • Arrange and/or conduct induction training.
  • Prepare and forward weekly reports to the SHEQ Superintendent.
  • Perform a monthly H&S inspection at the 8 Ikoyi sites and submit report to the SHEQ Superintendent.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
  • Liaise with client’s HSE/security/operational staff to carry out regular HSE tests/drills, fire-fighting practiceand other drills to keep the workers alert and sensitive to their environment.
  • Provide expertise and compliance support for project management.
  • Implement PTW when required and assist dept. to fill up the work box preparation
  • Monitor daily PTW implementation and revalidation
  • Assists in speedy and smooth response and action in case of emergencies.
  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned by your line manager.

Requirements
Education and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, or Science in Oil and Gas related discipline.

Experience:

  • Approximately 3 to 5 years in HSE ideally with a multi-national organization;
  • Approximately 3 year to HSE Training
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years in an Operational HSE environment
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner;
  • Track record of developing and implementing HSE/Training policies and systems.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Dry Cleaning and Laundry Machines)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Drawing up a schedule for regular maintenance.
  • Maintaining the machinery, for example by lubricating parts or changing out filters.
  • Design, establish and improve maintenance strategies, procedures, policies and methods
  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems and deciding the best way to repair them.
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs
  • Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines
  • Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
  • Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
  • Making repairs. This may include welding, plumbing, electrical repairs and rewiring, and minor carpentry work.
  • Obtaining any specialized components or fixtures needed to make repairs.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining and managing stocks of supplies, parts and equipment.
  • Keeping records of maintenance and repair costs, incidents and procedures.
  • Managing the maintenance budget.
  • Following all safety standards.
  • Supervising maintenance technicians
  • Inspect the other engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

  • HND / B.Sc Engineering and AETI or IIT Certified is a must
  • COREN registered is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role.

Salary

  • N150,000 monthly.

Job Title: HSE Training Supervisor

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Manage Safety functions in line with business policies, procedures and standards.
  • Maintain and develop the training matrix as define by the SHEQ Manager.
  • Populate and update the training master.
  • Communicate with HOD’s to define their training needs and organize accordingly.
  • Establish the training program on yearly basis based on CYY requirements.
  • Identify reputable training partners for the training performance.
  • Ensure conformance with safety and ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 standards and requirementson the base.
  • Identify system problems, investigate and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in Safety Incident Investigations and Risk assessments.
  • Conduct Internal audits.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations of non-conformance and take necessary corrective andpreventative actions.
  • Motivate and oversee the implementation of Safety improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and attend regular Safety meetings.
  • Arrange and/or conduct induction training.
  • Work with HSE Admin to prepare and forward weekly reports to the SHEQ Manager.
  • Perform a monthly H&S inspection at the 8 Ikoyi sites and submit report to the SHEQ Manager.
  • Liase with client’s HSE/security/operational staff to carry out regular HSE tests/drills, fire-fightingpractice and other drills to keep the workers alert and sensitive to their environment.
  • Provide expertise and compliance support for project management.
  • Advise on improvement and way forward to SHEQ colleague and Manager.
  • Work closely with and in support of the SHEQ Manager.
  • Deputize for SHEQ Manager as required and provide leadership to the department.
  • Manage, develop, implement and exercise SHEQ activities across all sites.
  • Monitor and review workplace practices to ensure compliance with SHEQ legislation, Sop’s/policyand provide recommendations for improvement to management.
  • Ensure equipment/infrastructure is maintained that ensures optimum performance.
  • Undertake SHEQ inspections of all areas to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Recommending, designing and facilitating awareness training as appropriate.

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum of a University Degree in any Sciences, Social Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in HSE officer role and working knowledge of HSE Management System in a multi-national or Oil and Gas industry
  • HSE Certifications E.g. Level 3 Certification in NEBOSH National General Certificate.
  • Certifications in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IOSH Working Safely, First Aid, Safety Auditing, Instructor and Train-the-Trainer, basic fire-fighting, will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of Environmental Discharges, Incident reporting system, Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing, JSA etc
