About the Graphic Designer Role
- We are looking for a driven, passionate, and committed individual to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.
- As our Graphic Designer, your primary responsibility will be to combine marketing and graphic design to create the visual materials that represent Flutterwave.
What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like
- Create icons, illustrations, images, and videos for product announcements and communications.
- Build out and maintain brand guidelines for the company
- Understand requirements and design brief to conceptualize visuals
- Prepare rough drafts based on agreed brief and present ideas
- Explore your creativity and suggest improvements if required
- Review layouts and amend designs from feedback received
- Test to ensure final graphics works across various media
- Ensure final graphic outputs are visually appealing and on-brand
- Communicate your work early and clearly
- Ensure team documents are well organized and easy to find
- Stay up-to-date with design ideas and related trends
Requirements
Required competency and skill set to be a waver:
- Proven experience in graphic design
- Experience with graphic design software and technologies (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, etc)
- Outstanding Creativity and Innovation
- Compelling portfolio of illustrations and design
- Accuracy and attention to details with a keen eye for aesthetics
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to present your design ideas & processes to team and stakeholders
- Work goal-oriented based on minimum supervision
- Be great at collaboration and processing feedback.

Job Title: Project Manager (Operations)

About the Operations Project Manager Role
- We are hiring a Project Manager to join our project team and manage projects for major functions within our organization.
- You will work alongside other project managers and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and the Project Management Office. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, performing business and data analysis related tasks
- Fun fact: Coding skills are not required but Business Analysis skills are an added advantage
What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team, etc.
- Develop full-scale project plans to track performance and progress as well as associated communication documents using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
- Effectively communicate project expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals and objectives
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all projects/initiatives undertaken by the Office of the COO
- Implement effective stakeholder engagement and communications strategy for all stages of projects
- Manage transitions between project stages and ensure that changes are consistent with organizational goals
- Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
- Submit weekly and monthly progress / status reports of all projects
- Serving as a liaison between project team and users
- Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
Requirements
Required competency and skillset to be a waver:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization’s product and service offerings
- Proven years of experience as an Operations Project Manager
- Good understanding of the foreign exchange operations and local tax regulations
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

About the Senior, Core Engineer Role
- We are looking for a driven, passionate, and committed individual to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.
- As our Senior Core Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to Manage and seamlessly blend front-end and back-end web development. Build new, improve and manage existing integrations and applications with external partners.
What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like
- Produce application architecture design translated from high-level product/user requirements
- Design, develop and deliver code that can support new product feature/enhancements in an agile environment
- Develop customer-facing applications using RESTful APIs
- Create database schemas that represent and support new products/ enhancements
- Maintain quality and ensure optimum performance of developed applications.
- Collaborate in design and development with the rest of the team.
- Maintain code integrity, organization, versioning, and apply object-oriented design principles
- Carry out unit tests of developed applications as well as set up automated testing of applications to ensure correctness, robustness, and scalability
- Work with front-end designers and converting designs to visual elements.
- Maintain code and application security at all times. Ensure data protection.
- Develop applications in back-end programming languages like Java, .NET, PHP as well as web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery
- Guide and mentor new engineers and interns
- Perform other duties assigned by team lead or engineering manager
Requirements
Required competency and skillset to be a waver:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization’s strategy, product, and service offerings
- In-depth understanding of both front-end and back-end languages, and SEO standards
- Excellent Data structures and algorithms as well as creative skills to apply them in solving problems
- Excellent knowledge of database and ORM technologies
- Ability and interest to quickly learn new languages and technologies
- Excellent organizational and people management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and quality assurance skills
- Excellent time management and analytical skills
- Excellent agile delivery knowledge including branching, testing, and continuous development. Collaborate with other engineers to deliver sprint goals
- Excellent Devops knowledge including Source Control, Continuous Integration, Configuration Management, Deployment Automation, Containers, Orchestration and Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
