Job Description
Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Engineering Preparation Phase:

As leader in his discipline, he is involved in the following tasks:

  • Prepare all the commissioning documents, including Operational Test procedures prepared by the Contractor.
  • Participate to the construction of the commissioning Database as per OPERCOM methodology,
  • Follow-up the preparation of pre-commissioning/commissioning dossiers.
  • Responsible to ensure that adequate care and maintenance /preservation procedures of equipment issued by vendors are being carried out during the different steps of the project.
  • Involved in Factory Test when they take place for OFP2 subcontracted packages and critical equipment.
  • Involved in witnessing of all the activities to ensure that they are compliant with the Company OPERCOM methodology.

Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Execution Phase (On The Yards):

  • Insure that the installation of the equipment is properly done with access for the maintenance.
  • Control the piping preparation / cleaning / drying is done in accordance with the Company requirements,
  • Participate to the meetings with the vendors
  • Be proactive to highlight any issue to the Project Management
  • Witness pre-com activities performed by OFP2 contractor and ensure that, for his discipline, each subsystem dossier has reached the “ready for Commissioning” and “ready for start-up” status with associated punch list.
  • Review the operational tests preparation done by Contractor for each piping equipment,
  • With the contractor, review the needs for consumable and temporary equipment required for the commissioning on shore and offshore.
  • Follow-up the punch list items issued by the Contractor and if deems necessary issue additional items which shall be recorded in the ICAPS system, and follow-up the clearance as per the OPERCOM procedure.
  • Liaise with the Commissioning Site Leader and the different Systems Engineers and his counterpart in engineering/construction Company team to coordinate his activities and make sure the progress is in line with the Project planning.

Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Execution Phase (Offshore):

  • To supervise the execution of commissioning of piping, To plan the mobilisation of the Vendors in accordance with the Project planning and the commissioning progress.
  • To monitor and to follow up the execution of offshore completion activities to achieve the commissioning safely and prepare a smooth hand over the Production team.
  • To validate the results of the functional and operational tests.
  • To manage the commissioning punch list, issue new items if necessary and follow-up the clearance as per OPERCOM procedure in close cooperation with the construction team.

Profile

  • Lead E & I Engineer
  • >10 years experience
  • Knowledgeable of OPERCOM / ICAPS

Job Description
QHSE:

  • Must be and remain well informed of rules, instructions and procedures regarding QHSE.
  • Implements and ensures implementation of SPIE OGS QHSE rules, instructions and procedures.
  • Makes proposals for the continuous improvement of QHSE provisions.
  • Draws up noncompliance and/or observation reports when noting any malfunction or risk situation and transmits them to the local QHSE department.
  • Immediately alerts any person who caused a risk situation, on noting the occurrence of any such situation.
  • Adopts an eco-approach at all times in the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Alerts the line management when encountering any professional situation that does not comply with the principles and rules governing the carrying out of SPIE Group activities (Ethics Alert).

Operations:

  • Organizes the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility on-site,
  • Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
  • With his teams, assists any specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC),
  • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to work permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
  • Manages interventions using the CMMS and checks intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,
  • Monitors the functioning of utilities and equipment placed under his responsibility,
  • Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams, and actively participates in this himself,
  • Carries out, at the Maintenance Supervisor’s requests, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Takes in charge the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status.

Methods:

  • Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements,
  • Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programs and, if need be, suggests improvements,
  • Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts,
  • Suggests improvements and requests modifications.

Quality Assurance:

  • Verifies the quality of his teams’ interventions by frequent on-site checks,
  • Ensures that the members of his teams have the qualifications and skills required for the tasks entrusted to them and, if need be, suggests corrective measures.

Profile
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years work experience in Electrical Maintenance
  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND) or higher qualification.
  • SAP experience and know-how
  • Basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment and thorough knowledge of equipment used in oil and gas installations
  • Must have knowledge of HV & LV power distribution and controls network, HV & LV motor drives and alternators, Inverters, HV cells, variable speed units, light networks, switch gears and Generators
  • Candidate needs strong leadership skills.
  • Candidate should work well under pressure.
  • Candidate should understand how to prioritize and plan work in a every changing and challenging environment.
  • Candidate should have experience in working in a multicultural environment.

Candidate Criteria

  • Minimum level of experience required: 6 years or more

Required Authorisations:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical offshore maintenance
  • SAP experience and know-how – SAP is a huge portion of the work, so this is very important.
  • Electrical qualification or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering.
  • HV Certification will be beneficial.

Profile
Abilities:

  • You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy
  • Strong MS Excel User, MS Access is a plus

  • Good communication skills (Written & Writing)

Job Title: HSE Fire Watch – M / F

Job Description
Here are the basic responsibilities of a fire and safety watch:

  • Watch out for fire hazards in the workplace while work is performed by other employees.
  • Read and understand the PTW requirement and ensure all personnel involve in the task also do
  • Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit.
  • Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.
  • In the event of fire, extinguish it immediately or turn a fire alarm on.
  • Call the emergency alarm number.
  • Stop operations if you find any hazardous condition.

Any condition in the workplace, whether usual or unexpected, determines your basic duties as a fire or safety watch. Some of them are the following:

  • Make sure you and other employees are aware of the exact location of firefighting equipment in the immediate area.
  • Maintain constant means of communication.
  • As much as possible, keep visual and voice contact with other employees.
  • Before and during each shift, inspect the entire work area and look for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids.
  • Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts anytime.
  • Never leave the job site while the work is being done. If you have to leave, stop the job and notify workers that you are “standing-by-for”.
  • When all operations are done, do not leave the worksite unless you’re sure that there are no hot sparks, burning embers and other fire hazards. Return all fire fighting equipment to their original location.
