Job Title: Telesales Lead (Manager)

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

The Position
We are looking for an ambitious and result-oriented genius to lead our team of Telesales Officers, towards improving the telesales process for best practices and ensuring high sales closure.

Job Summary

  • This role manages the success of all activities in the Upsell team by creating and improving telesales process, monitoring performance, identifying opportunities on phone calls to upsell a prospect, implementing proper onboarding processes for clients, resolving churn issues, closing as many upsell opportunities as possible, and ensuring telesales best practices are followed by all team members.

Job Description

  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about our products or services using scripts and initiative, as necessary.
  • Create scenarios from frequently occurring issues and create good sales pitches for such scenarios.
  • Manage all leads and design intelligent systems and processes that ensure telesales agents are calling the right lead at the right time.
  • Work with product managers to ensure you have the right technology requirement.
  • Measure and reduce churn risk in the business.
  • Consistently improve customer onboarding to reduce first-month churn.
  • Track and monitor performances of telesales agents
  • Be the number 1 sales closer on your team.

Must Have

  • Minimum HND / B.Sc. degree
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone.
  • Excellent cold calling and upselling abilities.
  • Excellent oral communication skill.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to self-manage their work and understand what success looks like
  • Ability to implement well thought-out processes with feedback mechanisms that help improve the process.
  • Ability to lead a team and align them on your goals.
  • Must have a growth-mindset.

Job Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years minimum experience as a Telesales Lead or Telesales Officer or experience in sales-heavy roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone.
  • Excellent cold calling and upselling abilities.:
  • Excellent oral communication skill.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to self-manage their work and understand what success looks like
  • Ability to implement well-thought-out processes with feedback mechanisms that help improve the process.
