Job Title: System Administrator

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.
  • Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
  • Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

Requirements

  • BSc / BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other languages
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Title: Software Developer – Level 1

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for a strong Software Engineer to enhance and support web-based medical software.
  • Your responsibility will span the complete software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and deployment of systems at an enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing codebase in Javascript, HTML and CSS, and C#
  • Design and update MySQL/MariaDB schema and queries
  • Maintain and improve the automated testing of software products
  • Identify and recommend innovations to existing software
  • Documentation of functionality

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Comparable real-world experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years experience with web-based software development

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively

Job Title: MySQL / MariaDB Database Administrator

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The MySQL/MariaDB Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of all applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the Database Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams.
  • The data warehouse supports an enterprise application suite of program management tools. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts to meet integration and performance expectations
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years MySQL and MariaDB Server Administration experience required
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
  • Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
  • Experience working with LINUX servers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to drive to the root cause.
