Job Title: National Sales Manager

Details

  • A fast-growing lubricants company is seeking to employ a National Sales Manager to manage the marketing/sales activities in the various regions of the country.
  • He/she will be responsible for hiring and firing employees, motivate and train sales executives, manage employees towards achieving profitable revenue goal for the company’s growth, serves as leader and represent the company, coordinate the development in the promotion of sales and activities that promote lead generation in each region.
  • Must be knowledgeable about practices relevant to direct and grassroots marketing to make sure that the sales executives in each region are well-focused and meet their goals and objectives

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies peculiar to each region
  • Determine price schedules and discount rates
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Negotiate and close agreements with corporate and industrial customers
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Preparation of periodical budgets and follow-up for approval on budget expenditures
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Successful 10 years of cognate experience in Lubricants Product Marketing

Essential Job Function

  • Maintain a high degree of financial discipline to curb unnecessary expenses and to monitor the usage of resources.
  • Ensure probity and transparency in the operating system and business transactions.
  • Review and authorize payment requisitions for all expenditure
  • Review and verify of revenue collections and remittance to the Banks.
  • Verify and examine the correctness of the bank reconciliation statement.
  • Verify the existence of assets and ensure proper usage and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence with the government financial regulations and other enabling laws guiding the organization’s operating system.
  • Carry out a periodic review of the internal control procedures and audit manual for effective operations.
  • Checking the reliability of the accounting and reporting system
  • Ensure keeping of proper accounting records and documents.
  • Implementation of disciplinary measures for abuse and violations of operating procedures and practice

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and control the current to long term development of the group following corporate objectives.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of current accounts monthly.
  • Review the integrity of monthly management reports to aid management decision making.
  • Direct the implementation of strategies by units within the group.
  • Review, consolidate and approve requests to ensure that the group has adequate human and physical resources to enable it to meet stated objectives.
  • Keep abreast of and constantly monitor and interpret work guides and references to ensure the business operations comply with requirements of relevant statutory and regulatory authorities.
  • Set and monitor performance indicators of the Group to ensure that expectations of customers are met within the provisions of relevant statutory and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the group and guide the units’ activities to ensure attainment of the group’s current to long-term strategies.
  • Review and approve Management reports from the various units.
  • Review the statistical analysis report on units’ income and expense items to identify the basis for deviations from the plan and review results with appropriate units.
