We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Lifting Specialist (SLS) / QAQC

Description

  • Continually liaise with the CPLO to ensure that lifting and handling standards within COMPANY are consistently respected within OBITE pipe yard.
  • Ensures that all applicable Company Rules (e.g. CR EP HSE 043) and COMPANY Lifting Procedures (Lifting Management System) regarding handling & lifting operations are well understood and applied by all personnel involved in lifting operations.
  • Ensure integrity compliance of all lifting equipment as required by the relevant company rule.
  • Advices OBITE RSESD on issues pertaining to lifting and handling operations,
  • Register, maintain and update database for all lifting equipment
  • Ensure that all certificates provided meet the minimum standards as prescribed by LOLER and other relevant applicable standards.
  • Ensure safe working load limits (SWL) or working load limits (WLL) of lifting equipment are strictly adhered to, and this should never be exceeded.
  • Carryout a yearly assessments of all dedicated lifting equipments in OBITE pipe yard and justify their capacity utilization
  • Develop a rigging loft procedure and ensure that the rigging loft is properly and adequately controlled
  • Ensures that lifting equipment and lifting standards are respected in the day to day operations.
  • Review Lifting Operations Plans for all critical lifting or handling operations on Site
  • Participate in JSA of critical lifts and attends all critical lifts carried out within OBITE pipe yard.
  • Provides expertise in day to day handling and lifting activities on site, which include; categorizing lifts, hazard identifications and risk assessment, technical review (lifting procedures and organizations),
  • Assists the CPLO during assessment of personnel competence to carry out lifting of handling operations.
  • Ensure that toolbox talk is performed by all personnel at the beginning of each critical lifting operations.
  • Performs technical inspection and evaluation of cranes and selects lifting equipment proposed for use on sites
  • Prepare generic lift plans and carry out its periodic reviews.
  • Develops a Site lifting and handling procedures / instructions and ensure its periodic review.
  • Coaches and mentor’s personnel involved in lifting and handling operations (crane operators & riggers, etc.) on site.

Job Requirements

  • Technical Engineering degree
  • 3 years verifiable experience in lifting and handling operations
  • Possession of LEEA/NSL up to Level 4 associated with lifting operations in OBITE pipe yard are properly assessed and managed in line with Lifting Management System (LMS)
  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of all types of lifting equipments and operations within affiliate

Job Title: Transit Supervisor

Location: Nigeria

Description / Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of the Freight Forwarding processes with all internal Company rules (including Company guide to conduct) and all applicable laws and regulation (JV rules, Country laws..)
  • Ensure that all safety requirements such as certifications, identifications, etc. are fully complied as per company requirements and local government regulations
  • Ensure the good administration and filing of all the Freight Forwarding documents in line with the applicable procedures
  • Maintain companywide accessible shipping database for shipments, prepare reports. Perform office activities
  • Maintain documentation, record keeping/filing system, including final Customs release documentation. Data analysis and reporting.
  • Communicate Pick up Goods Location to Freight Forwarder
  • Monitor timely pick up
  • Verifies HS Codes
  • Ensure that commercial invoices and packing list are routed as appropriate
  • Create GR103 on SAP
  • Liaise and follow-up with Buyers on any PO with issues
  • Follow-up with reconciliation of PO pending with GR103
  • Exportation of Personal Effects
  • Updates the database (Shipment Tracker) with Real time shipment information
  • Create JPCs and Pos
  • Schedule A: POs for which invoices have been paid on the line items but GRs have not been created i.e. only inbound Deliveries have been created
  • Weekly/Monthly GR103 Reconciliation
  • Weekly Schedule of pick ups
  • Weekly schedule of undelivered materials
  • Weekly update of Outstanding Exits
  • Monthly Form M Utilization
  • Weekly Schedule of Outstanding FCA POs.

Job Requirements

  • A degree/HND in Any discipline, provided candidate has at least 1-5 years relevant experience in international trade / shipping in similar activities.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies in the Supply Chain and in Operational functions will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge in Legal environment, Insurance, Tax
  • Good Negotiation skills.
