Job Title: Furniture Production Manager
Location: Ikeja – Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The Production Manager is responsible for planning and organizing production schedules, overseeing production processes and determining quality control standards.
- The Production Manager is also responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results.
Job Responsibilities
Production:
- Planning and organising production schedules
- Develop detailed furniture and fittings project plans
- Coordinate production processes
- Assessing project and resource requirements
- Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timelines with clients and management
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
- Determining quality control standards
- Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
- Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
- Organising relevant training sessions
- Mentor / supervise team members and conduct performance reviews
- Send detailed monthly report to management.
Quality Control:
- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor
- Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs
- Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc
- Accomplish organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- HND / B.Sc Degree in Architecture, manufacturing engineering or related field
- 6 – 10 years proven experience in a furniture production factory.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Production Manager/Supervisor
- Sound knowledge of furniture factory equipment
- Technical know-how to maintain manufacturing machines and tools to maximum functionality
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
- Excellent leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail
- Certification in Production, as well as Quality Control is an added advantage.

Job Title: CNC Specialist & Quality Control Supervisor (Furniture Factory)
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary
- The CNC Specialist/Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for operating the Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) furniture machine.
- The job holder is also responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and ensuring that the final output meets up to company and client standards.
Job Responsibilities
CNC Machine Operation:
- Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs
- Translate drawings and requirements into dimensions for production
- Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality
- Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs
- Provide timelines to clients
- Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
- Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
Quality Control:

Job Skills & Qualifications Required
- Trade Certificate / OND / HND in Carpentry / Wood work or equivalent qualification
- 3 years’ experience as a CNC furniture machine operator
- Minimum of 5 years furniture making experience
- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
- Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
- Good computer and mathematical skills.
