Job Title: Managing Director, Asset and Portfolio Management

Key Responsibilities

  • The Managing Director will be responsible for driving the strategic objective of the asset management business in line with laid down policies and within regulatory framework.
  • Responsible for defining the investment policy statement and investment management standard operating procedure in line with broad-based Board policy.
  • As leader of the team, the appointee will work with clients to develop appropriate financial & investment priorities, risk management framework, and de-risking of portfolios, as appropriate.
  • Grow asset portfolio as determined by the Board.
  • Provide overall strategic leadership, direction, and guidance for the growth through coordination, formulation, design and review of the corporate strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Efficiently manage team and resources towards profits and be responsible for building and sustaining client – business relationships to create potential business opportunities and ultimately increase income generation for the Organization.

  • Responsible for evaluating employee and portfolio performance.
  • Actively involved in the development of business strategy, budget, standard operating manuals, and policies including investment policy, guidelines, risk management framework, compliance framework and service level agreement.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • B.Sc in Economics, Finance or related disciplines from an accredited institutions, complemented by a relevant master’s degree and professional qualification such as CFA/CIS certifications. Other relevant professional qualification will also be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification experience in a leading financial services company, with at least eight (8) years being a top management executive.
  • Prior experience participating in investments in Private Equity or Venture Capital.
  • Previous experience managing a medium to large indigenous or multinational Assets Management Company will be useful.
  • Above average knowledge of mutual funds and the derivatives markets, supported by Private Equity and Capital Market experience.
  • Strong skills in treasury, money market and Euro Funds and other funds.
  • Highly experienced in marketing and investment.
  • Candidate should not be less than 40 years.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare wills, trust deeds and debentures for private, public, and corporate bodies.
  • Manage bond and equity portfolios for moderately complex to complex clients to maximize investment returns commensurate with an acceptable level of risk.
  • Act as transaction trustee for funds to clients as required.
  • Communicates with new and existing clients and administrators about their accounts, securities markets, and economic trends, which include the reporting of investment activity and performance.
  • Provides business model and structure to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness of asset under trust where necessary.
