Job Title: Director, Membership & Branch Development

Overview

  • The Director, Membership & Branch Development heads a critical department in the organization.
  • The director oversees all aspects of membership development, including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and supervision of the regional offices; develops a plan and executes strategies and initiatives to grow the membership base; develops strategies for the creation of new branches all over the country.

Job Summary

  • Oversee all aspects of business development, including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and supervision of the regional offices
  • Develop, plan and execute strategies and initiatives to grow business through expansion of membership
  • Develop Strategies for the creation of new branches of the organization all over the country

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of an approved business development plan that aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Develop, plan and execute strategies and initiatives to grow the business through expansion of membership
  • Work with the committees and collaborate with the branch offices to organize membership drive efforts across the regions
  • Liaise with departments e.g. Research and Advocacy and Training and Capacity Development to leverage programmes and activities to increase membership acquisition
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the CEO

Education and Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or any other related field
  • A postgraduate degree in any related field will be an added advantage
  • Member of a relevant professional body e.g. NIM, etc.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with at 1- 3 years in a Director position

Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to think strategically and holistically
  • Ability to proactively anticipate client’s needs and develop supporting programmes/solutions
  • Ability to lead a team of diverse skills & competencies
  • Excellent communication, business presentation, persuasion, and marketing skills
  • Excellent Project Management and Budgeting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and inter-regional teams
  • Ability to manage relationships and communications with the media, government officials, international institutions and business groups
  • Ability to identify strategic issues, analyze them and proffer relevant solutions
  • Digital savviness
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
