We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Ajase-Ipo, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • Take responsibility for the development of programs, procedures, specifications and leading quality assurance team for the implementation and improvement of the quality, food safety and environmental management systems for ongoing quality assurances of all finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lead the Quality Assurance team through Yum International audit
  • Develop and engage in continuous review for the improvement of quality, food safety and environmental management systems to meet SON, ISO 9001:2015 and other GFSI standards and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate with the Production team and other relevant departments to:
  • Ensure quality and regulatory compliance in order to successfully pass through inspections and audits.
  • Engage in continuous research towards development of new products
  • Develop control around flow of product that guarantees only products that meet the company, customers and regulatory specifications are dispatched from factory to the final consumers
  • Ensure quality and regulatory compliance in order to successfully pass through inspections and regulatory audits.
  • Design, implement and monitor workflow modification, GMP and hygiene protocols for the plant operations, equipment and personnel that guarantees production of wholesome product
  • Develop and track specifications and standards for finished products, raw materials and process controls
  • Compliance to raw materials & product specifications
  • Compliance to quality, food safety and environmental policies, protocols and standards
  • Regulatory relationships and compliance
  • HSE related incidents, response activities and personnel compliance
  • Conduct all other obligations as required in the company’s approved policies and systems or as assigned by management from time-to-time in attainment of the department goals.
  • Investigate customer complaints, process & product failure incidents and track corrective actions.
  • Conduct continuous coaching and training of QA team and other plant operatives on global best practices of operations, relevant standards and procedures to achieve operational excellence
  • Ensure proper documentation of records and good management of relevant data relating to the core aspect of your job function
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from reporting staff and production to track;

Educational Qualifications / Experience

  • B.Sc in Sciences related field while professional certificate in FSSC 2000 and ISO 9001:2015 will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in quality control/quality assurance management role

Functional Competencies / Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of broiler processing operation
  • Good knowledge of standards & protocols but not limited ISO 9001, FSSC 2000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TQM, Six Sigma
  • Proficiency in Office management tools, Quality Data Management & MIS systems and software
  • People Management Skills
  • Experience in driving implementation of quality systems and managing relationships with all stakeholders
  • Experience in driving implementation of quality systems and managing relationships with all stakeholders and regulatory agencies such as Standard Organization of Nigeria, NAFDAC, NESREA, etc
  • Problem Solving & Analytical skills
  • Relationship management skills
