Overview

  • Come join Arnergy’s Marketing team and help improve distributed energy reliability to businesses and homes in Nigeria.
  • As our Brand PR / Event Executive and a key member of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for all events (owned conferences and external conferences, exhibitions, webinars, public relations, media relations, Brand management, Branded promotional items etc writing articles, long-form opinion pieces, scripts, press releases, creating ad content and related marketing materials, sourcing and researching trending topics, and working closely with the other members of the marketing team to brainstorm, create concepts, develop messaging, maintain goodwill, thought leadership, and understanding between our brand and its public.
  • You will use all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the reputation of the Arnergy brand.
  • As a PR executive, you’ll monitor publicity and conduct research to find out the concerns and expectations of our clients and stakeholders.
  • You will monitor and research your competitors closely then report and explain all findings to your Line manager in a report.

Responsibilities
You’ll focus on:

  • Developing articles, blogs, press releases, and other content related materials including copies for pitch documents, event presentations, company profiles, flyers or brochures
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Creatively coming up with content that ties the brand offering with international events calendar days
  • Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
  • Building strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients, stakeholders and the media houses through regular execution of testimonial videos and answering enquiries from the media and other organisations
  • Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients
  • Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
  • Collating and analysing media coverage
  • Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
  • Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes.
  • Identifying relevant events for the brand to partner in, event sponsorships and cultivating relationships with coordinators of the sponsored events and be the day-to-day contact with partner representatives
  • Identifying and cultivating relationships with speakers for Arnergy’s owned events and be the day-to-day contact with them.
  • Devising photo opportunities and work with the design team to coordinate studio or location photography
  • Organising events (such as press conferences, exhibitions, product launches and press tours), source speakers and seeking out sponsorship opportunities
  • Key an eye, recommending updates and sharing information required on the organisation’s website
  • Conducting market research and managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and budget.
  • Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/media partners/vendors.
  • Planing projects from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives
  • Working in conjunction with the Graphic Design Team for the design of necessary print materials and further facilitating their production and installation on event sites.
  • Preparing branding & promotional items budgets and ensuring adherence.
  • Sourcing, negotiating and supervising all vendors and suppliers
  • Developing and managing a large range of event types to build brand reputation and generate leads for internal and external clients
  • Writing entertaining and informative search engine optimised copy and advertising copies for use on all 360 degrees channels
  • Developing Creative scripts and storyboards that promotes the brand and the products
  • Setting target keywords alongside the marketing team and base articles around them.
  • Keeping up to date with industry best practices and monitoring content activities of competitor websites, PR activities, and media activities.
  • Assisting the team and other units with ad-hoc copywriting when the need arises.
  • Repurposing content for different mediums and channels including video.
  • Creating entertaining and informative video storyboards for the brand.
  • Coordinate and activate community relations programs and events as needed
  • Tracking conversion rates for content developed and published on all platforms, then making adjustments where necessary.

Requirements & Skills
You’ll be a good fit for this role if you are / have:

  • A University Degree in PR, Marketing, Mass Communication, IT, English, , Journalism, Linguistics, or Business-related degree
  • Minimum of 4 years working experience in an agency.
  • Highly creative and imaginative with strong research skills
  • Knowledge of how best to position content, regardless of the platform
  • A team player with an eagerness to learn, adapt & work under pressure
  • Working knowledge of content management tools to optimize blogs and articles and execute strategies to drive online traffic to the company website.
  • You will be creative and passionate about writing with an organised and time-sensitive approach to your work.
  • Ability to produce creative write-ups, formal write-ups and jump on online trends with very creative copies within tight deadlines is essential.
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Skilled in project management
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
