Beta Guards Security Limited – Our client, T-Kennel Limited is an animal breeding centre. Our services include animal breeding, animal health care and feeding. The range of dogs in our care include Labrador Retriever, German-Shephard, Rottweiler, Laser, Dobermann, Poopishun, American Boerboel, etc.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Experienced Permanent Dog Trainer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing suitable training plans and curriculum for dogs and documenting their progress.
- Utilize positive reinforcement methods to teach dogs how to break negative habits and learn positive behaviors
- Consulting with clients to discuss behavioral concerns and training needs.
- Identifying additional behavioral concerns and communicating them to clients.
- Teaching dogs to obey basic commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dog’s personality and attributes.
- Implementing appropriate training programs to address and resolve problem areas, including aggression, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, and biting.
- Ensuring that the training areas are clean and tidy.
- Teaching clients appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain behaviors and skills learned by their dogs during training sessions.
- Contacting clients to schedule training appointments, verify bookings, and inquire into overdue payments.
- Maintain open communication with the dog owners about their dog’s progress
- Document accurate details of your training regimen for each client.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc. in related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years work experience in similar or related role.
- Problem-solving skills
- Patience and love for animals.
