Job Title: Hotel Manager

Job Summary

  • Our hotel manager oversees our hotel operations, manages and directs the daily operations and activities at the hotel and its staff.
  • Duties include designing and monitoring budgets, marketing , coordinating and administering hotel services including the front office (reception, concierge, reservations), food and beverage operations and housekeeping.
  • While taking a strategic overview and planning to maximize profits, our hotel manager must also pay attention to details, setting the example for staff, to enable them deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests’ needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services.
  • Promoting and marketing the business.
  • Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure.
  • Maintaining statistical and financial records, setting and achieving sales and profit targets; analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies.
  • Training and monitoring employees.
  • Planning work schedules for individuals and teams.
  • Meeting and greeting customers.
  • Dealing with customer complaints and comments.
  • Addressing problems and troubleshooting; ensuring events and conferences run smoothly.
  • Business and people management.
  • Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings.
  • Ensuring security is effective.
  • Carrying out inspections of the facility and its services

Requirements
Candidatemust:

  • Have a good Degree. (Qualification in hotel management is a plus)
  • Have extensive hotel management experience and 3-5 years relevant cognate experience in a similar role.
  • Have experience in Hotel, Restaurant and Bar Management
  • Have an impressive corporate personality with strong management skills and a keen eye for details.
  • Have a clear understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Have working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Display excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset.
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Be reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Display outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail.
  • Be able to use hotel management software.
  • Display strong leadership qualities.
