Job Title: Supervisor

Job Summary
- We are in need of a supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing various activities involved in the storage of items in the cold room, running, directing and monitoring a team of other workers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Their typical duties and responsibilities include:
- Receiving, storing, testing, and shipping items kept in cold storage
- Implementing warehouse safety programs that specifically apply to cold storage
- Dealing with customer questions and complaints
- Reviewing work orders to determine forecasts so that you can make plans for peak delivery periods
- Creating work schedules for pickups and deliveries of cold items
- Documentation of daily rentals/sales and attending to customers promptly.
- Paying in cash received to our bank agents.
- Supervising staff and providing them with relevant training on all aspects of the operation
- Working to develop an efficient cold storage layout to maximize storage space and ease of movement within the facility
- Perform scheduled daily cleaning, maintenance and sanitization of the cold room.
- Report any necessary repair and maintenance of the cold room and its PowerBox.
- Record keeping of all maintenance and repairs performed on the cold room and its it’sPowerBox.
- Reports daily activity to the Chief Operating Officer using official reporting templates.
- Opening/Closing of the cold room for daily operations.
- Conducts daily/weekly customer satisfaction surveys on customers.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned by the Chief Operating Officer
Requirements
- Must have at least a WAEC certificate or an Ordinary National Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of practical working experience in cold room operations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well within a team, including others within the company as well as our contractors and suppliers.
- Maintains a positive attitude.
- Communicates and shares information in order to deliver results for the team.
- Ability to make good decisions as it relates to the safe operation of the cold room and other systems and escalates issues appropriately.
- Experience in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Business Management will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of propane refrigeration systems and their safety management will be an added advantage.
