Backend Developer – NodeJs at HostNowNow Limited

HostNowNow is a business support services company focused on providing technology support to African businesses, making it easier for them to innovate. Our core business at the moment is web services amongst other expressions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Backend Developer – NodeJs

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:

  • Write efficient, quality, tested code using industry best practices
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps, design, and implementation within a team of high performing engineers
  • Partner with engineering, product management, and design teams to develop and refine new features
  • Contribute to code quality and maintainability by writing unit and integration tests
  • Leverage modern architectural patterns and third-party libraries to deliver new features
  • Build reusable code and libraries to be used for future developments

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Highly proficient in Javascript, NodeJs and NestJs
  • Working knowledge of Database systems – MySql, Postgresql, Mongodb
  • Experience with PHP Laravel is a plus
  • Analytical, organized and high attention to detail
  • Appreciation for clean and well-documented code
  • Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
  • Curious and self-researching about new technologies.
  • First hand experience with larger codebases (hundreds of components+) and how to best architect them to scale
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, Bitbucket pipelines and Agile principles. Experience with Docker and AWS infrastructure is a plus

Salary

  • N350,000 – N450,000 monthly.
