Job Description

  • They require the services of a self-motivated and results-driven Chief of Staff who has extensive experience leading teams.
  • This role is defined by its ability to provide strategic counsel to the Executive Director and members of the Executive Council.
  • His/her day-to-day responsibilities vary dramatically depending on the time of the year and the committees involved.
  • This position is a critical component in supporting a successful leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set Executive Director’s strategic priorities, time, and evaluate progress.
  • Review internal and external communications, also monitor information flow.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and counsel to Committee Chairs.
  • Serve as the secretary of the Executive Council and manage the meeting cadence.
  • Plan and lead company retreats, stepbacks, and other special events.
  • Oversee large, often cross-functional organization-wide projects or initiatives.
  • Bring together multiple stakeholders and help drive decisions.
  • Create systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Create and maintain cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership success.
  • Lead annual strategic planning for the organization.
  • Create and update dashboards for reviewing key performance indicators.
  • Research, benchmark, analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Lead hiring processes and manage new hires in the office of the Executive Director.

Person Specification

  • Degree in Business Management or Master’s in Business Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of different business functions.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong work ethic.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools.
  • Proactive nature.
