Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Overview

  • You are a mover and shaker, plowing through data and investigating a business’s revenue, credit, overhead and expenses.
  • You work closely with management to make critical decisions about expense management and financial movements.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, forecasting and controlling project expenditures while ensuring compliance with company financial provisions in the processing of payments.
  • Continuous audit and analysis of financial performance in order to gain insights to enable the implementation of cost efficiency measures and appropriate capital allocations.
  • Provide support with the creation of financial models of various projects in development.
  • Management of tax obligations in order to ensure the company is in compliance with tax regulations of the country.
  • Compiling and presenting financial budgets and performance reports
  • Timely preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
  • Responsible for inventory
  • Assist employees with financial questions and analysis
  • Analyze processes and implement improvements
  • Review accounting transactions for accuracy
  • Keeps oneself up to date with the rest of the field by attending workshops and following publications.

Requirements

  • M.Sc / B.Sc Degree in Finance, Accounting or any related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial process as well as finance and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite as well as accounting/ERP software.
  • Must be resourceful with outstanding research skills and above all be a person of integrity.
  • Professional yet affable disposition.
  • Most possess strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Experience managing and analyzing large sets of data.
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
