We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

 

Job Title: Field Civil Engineer

Locations: Delta & Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • To directly supervise offshore constructions crews and marine equipment operations including floating cranes, anchor handling boats, deck winches, cable handling machinery and welding.
  • Have experience in marine construction including pile-driving, site supervision of marine works like jetties having knowledge of various quality standards being followed during jetty construction. Experience in precast element erection and panel erection, insitu concrete, Sound knowledge in understanding of crane lifts and rigging arrangements and load charts dock construction, and utility work.
  • Responsibilities will include the direct supervision of offshore constructions crews and marine equipment operations including floating cranes, anchor handling boats, deck winches, cable handling machinery, welding and fabrication of marine mooring assemblies etc.
  • Assist all engineering superintendents and subcontractors and ensure compliance to all project schedule and budgets and evaluate all associated equipment and workforce to meet all design requirements.
  • Analyze, identify and resolve all technical issues in all files projects and ensure efficient interpretation of all design drawings and install all Quality Control procedures in projects.
  • Provide an interface with design group and resolve all issues of subcontractors and prepare reports for all subcontractors and evaluate all installation.
  • Coordinate with survey team and prepare work schedule as per construction project and collaborate with suppliers and concrete to ensure compliance project drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze and prepare plans for permanent material requisitions.
  • Design all work plans and identify and resolve all installation issues for civil field projects and coordinate with procurement department to ensure adherence to all construction schedule.
  • Assist all subcontractors, if any to prepare and update all drawings for projects.
  • Document all civil field activities and perform regular inspection to check progress of all projects.
  • Monitor and implement all safety program for projects for assign areas.

Job Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma / HND / B.Sc in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years and above experience in a Marine Infrastructure project
  • Preferably experienced in marine construction including pile-driving, site supervision of marine works like jetties.
  • Knowledge of various quality standards being followed during jetty construction.
  • Experience in precast element erection and panel erection, concrete.
  • Knowledge of crane lifts, rigging arrangements, and load charts dock construction and utility work.
  • Good Safety and Process knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • User level expertise in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to understand Operating procedures and flaw less implementation.
  • Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle Process and Safety Emergencies.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
