Norsworthy Farms and Agro-Allied Industries Limited (Norsworthy Farms) is an Agricultural company located at Iyiocha Stream Forest reserve in Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State. It specializes in the plantation development, production of Oil Palm and processing of the Oil Palm Fruits into various products and derivatives. Norsworthy Farms and Agro-Allied industries limited is a private Limited Liability company Incorporated on the 7th of September 2016 in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and commenced operations in 2017.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Heavy Equipment Maintenance Officer
Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Having knowledge on transmission, hydraulic cylinders in adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy duty vehicles
- Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms
- Performing daily routine checks on the heavy equipment before operations and after operations.
- Ability to work with excavators, tractors, bulldozer, and trucks.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operation of a transit coaching heavy equipment operations and protection of people, property, and institutions.
- To keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs if needed.
- To perform shop management functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory control, making estimate of materials, labour and equipment requirement
- Diagnoses causes of equipment malfunction or examines equipment to locate inoperative or malfunctioning component, testing units for conformance to specifications under actual.
- Planning and tracking of repairs jobs
- Specialized expertise, ingenuity, and takes pride in solving technical problems on heavy equipment
- Conduct all business with a professional and respectful attitude.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND qualification with 2 – 5 years work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Diesel engines and Construction Equipment
- Ability to work after-hours if required
- Good Communication Skills.
- Proven work Experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Ability to left Heavy Machinery.
- Ability and Knowledge on Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft words.
