Job Title: Verification, Collection and Recovery Agent

Location: Abeokuta / Sagamu / Ijebu-Ode, Ogun

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a “Verification, Collection & Recovery Agent”. This is a role where you will report directly to the Verification, Collection & Recovery Captain.
  • In this capacity, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying all required documents against preset criteria regarding sales approval.

Other Responsibilities

  • Verification of expected customer addresses
  • Submission of verified customer addresses within the stipulated turnaround time (TAT)
  • Collect outstanding debts from clients and achieve collection targets to ensure positive cash flow.
  • Recovering bad debts from delinquent debtors.
  • Devising a customized recovery strategy on a case-by-case basis.
  • Making outbound collection calls to debtors.
  • Reducing the non-performing debts owed to the company
  • Maintain accurately up-to-date customer account information.
  • Sourcing for possible clients to boost the company’s sales
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by Team Lead

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of OND in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any related discipline
  • Minimum of a year of experience working as a collections or recovery officer
  • Excellent written and face interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Experience in debt collection
  • Evidence of well-developed organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Commitment to achieving performance goals
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft office tools including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
