Human Capital Partners is a professional services firm that specializes in the provision of management consulting services covering the entire human resource management value chain.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Domestic Operations

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

  • The Head, Domestic Operations reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for overseeing the effective coordination and processing of all Operating and Capital Expenditure as well as sundry transactions of the Authority.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the defined framework for Domestic Operations in line with the overall strategy for Digital and Centralised Operations
  • Recognise all general operating expenses and capital expenditures and ensure accurate account classification for all categories of operating/capital expenditure.
  • Perform regular adjustments on ledger accounts as may be prescribed/ required by units such as Internal Control and Internal Audit.
  • Monitor and reconcile transit accounts, A/C Payables, A/C Receivables, Prepaid accounts, Sundries, inventories and so on.
  • Ensure timely submission of these returns/proofs to Internal control, Internal and external auditors when required
  • Supervise and authorise all administrative/expense transactions.
  • Ensure all expenses are in line with the Authority’s expense policy.
  • Ensure all staff exiting the Authority are cleared. i.e., staff retire all cash advance taken.
  • Develop and circulate procedures with respect to expense processing.
  • Develop and provide career development of direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements as well as adherence to policies, procedures, and controls of the Authority.
  • Prepare relevant management information reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.

Requirements

  • A First Degree and relevant professional qualifications.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a financial institution with a good knowledge of financial operations and regulation.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365, ethics and corporate governance.
  • Excellent Leadership, Strategic thinking and Innovation Skills
  • Exceptional accounting skills
  • Good documentation and process management skills
  • Problem solving, Communication and interpersonal skills.
