Job Title: Store Manager

Reportee: Retail Associate

Purpose

  • To oversee and create a customer experience that accurately reflects the ethos of the brand while building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service.
  • They are committed to demonstrating an understanding of the lifestyle of the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of a Store Manager will include but will not be limited to the following:

Leadership and Initiative:

  • Lead by example and have an ability to influence team members to complete job duties effectively.
  • Delegate tasks clearly and effectively.
  • Develop both short term and long-term strategies.
  • Display a strong sense of initiative as well as time management and calendar planning skills.

People Development/Human Resources:

  • Training and Developing: Help teach others training content through consistent role play and coaching. Demonstrate an openness to new ideas and concepts while quickly learning and applying to the job.
  • Coaching and Feedback: Clearly articulate strengths,goals and opportunities. Show critical thinking capabilities and is solution oriented. Utilise company tools to create a 360-degreefeedbackculture.
  • Networking and Recruiting: Actively network on a consistent basis. Ensure that there is viable bench strength for all store positions. Establish a clear succession plan for management team.

Communication and Relationship Building:

  • Exercise strong written and verbal skills. Adapt communication skills upwards, laterally and to their team.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct when completing job duties.
  • Promote the organisation’s goals and adapt flexibly to change.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and corporate partners.
  • To comply with Data Protection and GDPR regulations relevant to the business and ensure correct practice is adhered to.

Analysis and Decision Making, Problem Solving and Compliance:

  • Operations and Compliance: Manage store schedule. Monitor shipments,transfers and price changes for accuracy. Plan, conduct, and organise store for inventory.
  • Analysis, Decision Making and Problem Solving: Resolve difficult or complicated challenges while using good judgement, partnering when appropriate. Adhere to and hold team accountable to company policies and procedures. Analyse business results and make strong business acumen decisions on findings. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the store.

Visual Merchandising and In Store Experience:

  • Ensure the store follows the visual guidelines and directives.
  • Enforce excellent client services through the emphasis of utilising client books, thank you cards and executing event strategies. Ensure a consistent superior client experience.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education:

  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) or First Degree in Administration, Public Administration, Mass Communication, Business Marketing or Retail Management or any similar academic qualification.
  • Additional certification in administration or customer service management is an added advantage.

Experience & Skills:

  • 2 to 3 years of management experience in similar role
  • Understand the Iro Lagos brand and have true passion for the lifestyle, clients, and product assortment.
  • Value a collaborative environment.
  • Understands the required health and safety regulations required for the store.
  • Have strong sales and client experience, preferably in the luxury market.
  • Can demonstrate proven success in meeting sales goals and achieving the brand’sobjectives.
  • Have ahave a spirit of excellence, a strong sense of integrity and the ability to lead by example.
  • Good standard of numerical skills.
  • Worked in a fast pace, high turnover store.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise workloads and delegate,accordingly, thus having strong time management skills.
  • To manage and lead the team ensuring a consistent and exceptional standard of customer service in the store, ensuring the team members are engaging, acknowledging, courteous, develop an excellent product knowledge to engage with the customers.

Person Specification:

  • One must be business-minded, thus increasing sales.
  • Work with the aim of building customer brand awareness traditionally and on all subscribed social media platforms.
