We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description
Your responsibilities will be:
- Reception and Quality Inspection: Receive materials, ensure they meet quality standards, and maintain accurate records of incoming goods.
- Material Issuance and Documentation: Issue materials to vessels during port calls, ensuring proper documentation and usage of appropriate transmittal forms.
- Loading and Unloading: Engage in manual handling for loading and unloading materials for dispatch or stocking purposes.
- Quarantine Management: Identify and quarantine defective stock in accordance with company’s quality procedures.
- Inventory Management: Perform cyclic counts and routine stock checks, promptly informing stakeholders of inventory status.
- Labeling and Tagging: Ensure all materials are correctly labeled and tagged, including vessel names.
- Safety and Material Preservation: Maintain high safety standards in the store and ensure the safekeeping of materials.
- Material Retrieval and Reporting: Retrieve all materials back-loaded by vessels, including lube and fuel samples, and report to the line supervisor for logistics dispatch.
- Certification and Compliance: Ensure timely certification and compliance of outbound material baskets/Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs) for offshore deliveries.
- Packaging and Protection: Oversee the arrangement, packaging, and wrapping of outbound materials to prevent transit damage.
- Ad-Hoc Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Data Management: Input data and reconcile information in the store’s computer system for delivery and dispatch closeouts.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store and its surroundings clean and tidy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Inform stakeholders about materials received, in-store, dispatched, or delivered, providing evidence as necessary.
- Dispatch Involvement: Actively participate in material dispatch to various vessel locations, including but not limited to Onne Port.
- Documentation Handling: Responsible for signing vendor, supplier, or contractor waybills and delivery notes.
- Storage Organization: Ensure proper storage and arrangement of materials in assigned warehouse locations.

- Education: OND
- Experience: 2-4 years Experience in Warehousing and Logistics
- Computer Literate
- Work will involve Manual Handling
