Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Nigeria
Work Hours: 11am to 8pm Canada time

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Social Media Manager who will develop and implement JOPStudios social media strategy in order to increase our online presence, and improve our marketing and sales efforts.
  • The role requires excellent communication, content management, creativity and organizational skills, as well as a strong adherence to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
  • Ensure an organic and high growth in followership, engagements and interactions on all social media platforms.
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).
  • Create and implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns.
  • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares).
  • Recommend budget for digital marketing. Run regular campaigns on social media platforms, i.e Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Google Ads, etc.
  • Monitor market trends and audience preferences to identify opportunities and make recommendations regarding the social media strategy.
  • Conduct keyword research,use search engine optimization guidelines to optimize content and generate inbound traffic.
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.
  • Measure the effectiveness of the social media plan.
  • Increase awareness of the JOPStudios brand and services in an effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency.
  • Develop a media relations plan, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.
  • Create and implement crisis management strategy.
  • Prepare monthly PR plan and a monthly status update to track plan adherence.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Social Media Manager.
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • Creative and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a dynamic and remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with email management platforms and virtual communication tools (e.g.Google Workspace, Zoom, Monday.com).
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
