Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Accountant / Admin Associate is responsible for managing and reporting all aspects of accounting and administrative activities at Intelligent Innovations and other sister companies  by providing timely reporting on expenses, making timely entries into the ERP software and excellent management of administrative activities.
  • The individual will ensure timely, accurate reporting of accounting information and also administrative activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s accounting and administrative activities with respect to petty cash, cash requests, client invoicing, taxes, documentation for transactions into accounting software (good knowledge of Quickbooks is essential), weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting.
  • Prepare, analyze and record operating expenses, business transactions and prepare Profit & Loss Accounts.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders on accounting matters, prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Audit financial documents and procedures, prepare general ledger entries, reconcile bank statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, account clearing (vendor, customer and balance sheet items), verify and resolve discrepancies/open items and compile withholding tax and value added tax, PAYEE, and other statutory payments.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting system, policy and procedures, respond to inquiries received from management, internal and external auçditors, perform registration of all new and existing suppliers and manage the supplier payment requests.
  • Compile and present financial and budget reports
  • Keep account books and systems up to date
  • Monitor spending and budgets
  • Prepare and manage fixed asset schedules and perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time that are necessary for service efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance related field
  • 2 years relevant experience and ACA Certified or in view
  • Proficiency using MS office suite, Quickbooks and or other accounting software
  • Experience in client facing situations or roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with using accounting and administrative tools
  • Strong ethical principles and ability to manage financial data
  • Professional approach to managing situations and solving problems
  • Ability to ensure best practices and procedures are followed in all administrative activities
  • Good organizational, reporting and analytical skills

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 Monthly.
