A reputable manufacturing company is recruiting for the position of a Health and safety officer.
Duties/Responsibilities:
To ensure the maintenance of a safe working environment/safe work conducts whilst complying with all relevant statutory regulations concerning occupational health and safety in the workplace.
Ensure all employees wear protective gears at all times.
Institute necessary disciplinary measures against employees that default in safe practises.
Handle all accident evacuation and emergency situations.
Monthly training for all departments in health and safety procedures.
Ensure functional emergency exits, also ensure that employees are aware of all such exits.
Qualification & Skills
Good communication, planning and influencing skills.
Excellent Cost management and IT skills.
B. Sc./ HND in Engineering or related field.
Membership of relevant professional bodies.
IT Certifications is an added advantage.
Minimum 4 years experience in managing health and safety in manufacturing industry.
