Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Oando Plc – Lagos

The position incumbent reports to the Project Engineer and is responsible for developing the work plan, structural and mechanical designs for all equipment flow media and vessels, tanks, heating facilities in company’s installations and retail outlets to Oando’s Standards and specifications in regulated time frame.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic

 Researches, plans, and designs mechanical products and systems, and directs.

 Preparation of Bills of quantity, carry out market surveys, Project estimates and tender documents of all mechanical Engineering projects of the company

Operational

 Coordination activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.

 Supervision of all mechanical Engineering projects, ensuring it meets our quality standards and specifications with accompanying status reports

 Delivery of support services to the services department and other related departments for maintenance works on the company’s properties and assets.

 Implement work plan, mechanical and structural design of all equipments, flow media and vessels, storage tanks, heating facilities in our buildings, installations, warehouses and retail outlet.

 Conducts Standards Checks in Retail Outlets, LPG Plants, VMI, Depots and Terminals. Checks should cover EHSQ, Look & Feel, House Keeping and branding and Stock management as well as supervision adequacy.

 The efficient maintenance of all company’s equipment

 Cost effective maintenance strategy and practices

 Promptness and reliability of mechanical service support

 % of reduction in CASOM non compliance at OMP locations

 Level of awareness and compliance among staff
Desired Skills and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 1st degree in Engineering

 Membership of Nigeria Society Of Engineers

 Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, with relevant experience in similar roles in the oil and gas environment

 AutoCAD working knowledge desirable

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

 Oil & Gas Industry Dynamics

 Architectural & Engineering Design Interpretation,

 Engineering material, costs & Specifications

 Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

 Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
