The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing and monitoring business strategies, market expansion and business growth plans to help the company achieve its goals and objectives. The incumbent will be integral in taking the business to the next level, winning significant new business, devising company strategy and increasing geographical footprint. This role would suit a seasoned professional with a good knowledge of the Oil and Gas sector. Six years prior experience within the sector is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Assistant General Manager shall offer support services to the office of the General Manager.
Shall be responsible and accountable for managing and coordinating all company activities – leading the heads of different departments and dealing with existing clients and developing new clients.
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies and processes aimed at achieving the organizations stipulated goals and objectives.
With the support of management, he will be responsible for managing all areas of operations to ensure revenues, profits and return on investment are maximized; risk is managed and costs controlled, consistent with the budget and business plans
Will be overall responsible for business developments and introduction of new product lines and opportunities.
Responsible for implementation and proper compliance with various procedures and systems set in the company.
Desired Skills and Experience
A good understanding of how own organization fits into the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry as a whole and the links to related industries.
Market Research & Analysis:
Collecting and analyzing relevant market data to inform the organization’s marketing strategy. Market data includes customer, company, competitor, industry and stakeholder analyses.
Using market information to guide the design and development of products/services/offerings.
Understanding the products and services provided.
Using knowledge of competitors and their products and services to gain an organizational advantage.
Assuming a leadership role in helping others achieve excellent results.
Manages resources (financial, human, physical and information resources) to achieve planned goals.
Bachelor’s degree in any Background
Post-graduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage
