Our client, The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), is primarily responsible for determining the standards of knowledge and skill to be attained by persons seeking to become chartered members. It
also aims to promote and protect the interest of the securities and investment profession in Nigeria by upholding its members to the highest standards of service and integrity.

As part of its on-going transformation process, the institute seeks to recruit exceptional professionals to fill the following senior level positions:

Job Title:  Head, Education & Training   (REF: HET-CIS)

The Head of Education and Training is primarily responsible for developing and continuously upgrading relevant Standards, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Guides for persons seeking to become chartered members. He/She will handle all matters relating to education, training, assessing and examining student members as well as also managing the framework and processes for the institute’s Continuous Professional Development program.
Other Primary Responsibilities will include the following:

    Building and implementing a world class e-learning and examination framework for the institute
    Significantly increasing the number and variety of educational programs run by the institute
    Implementing novel strategies to significantly increase the number of individuals undertaking the institute’s educational programs
    Maintaining strategic relationships with relevant local and international educational institutions
    Tracking developments in the global securities industry and ensuring members are educated on new trends and insights.
    Identifying opportunities to commercialize the instituted training capabilities

Minimum Requirements:

    Masters degree in Finance, Economics or related course. Higher postgraduate qualification in Education would be an added advantage.
    Strong team player with results oriented mindset.
    Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills.
    Outstanding research and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and effectively engage with C-Level executives and regulators
    Minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience at a senior level in a similar role.
    In-depth working knowledge of the Nigerian economy in general and the financial markets in particular.

 Job Title:  Head, Research and Technical  (Ref: HRT-CIS)

The Head of Research and Technical is responsible for developing and implementing the instituted overall research strategy and collaboration with stakeholders including tertiary institutions and independent local and international researchers. He/She will also drive the process of generating new evidence-based research insights to support the advancement of best practices in the Nigerian securities and investment industry.
Other Primary Responsibilities will include the following:

    Publication of journals, articles, reports and policy recommendations.
    Tracking developments/innovations in market structures/financial products and regulatory developments locally and globally.
    Establishing and maintaining a world class physical and electronic library and other electronic platforms for collaboration and dissemination of information.
    Identifying opportunities to commercialize the institute’s research capabilities and engaging in advisory work for corporate members.

Minimum Requirements:

    Masters degree in Finance, Economics or related course. Higher postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage.
    Outstanding research and analytical skills with the ability to thinking strategically and effectively engage with C-Level executives and regulators.
    Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in using relevant technology solutions to drive research
    Minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience at a senior level
    Track record of delivering high quality research and practical policy advisory.
    Strong relationships in the research community locally and internationally.
    In-depth working knowledge of the Nigerian economy in general and the financial markets in particular.
    Strong team player with results oriented mindset
    Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills.
