Introduction

Palladium is seeking a Technical Research Officer for Voices for Change (V4C) programme in Nigeria. The goal of V4C is to help transform social attitudes towards girls and women in Nigeria by working on specific individual, social and institutional changes. V4C Vision is to be known and recognised for creating new ways to change behaviour, contributing to a Nigeria where every girl, boy, woman and man achieves their full potential. Primary responsibilities

Assist the Evidence Lead in Research Planning
Assist Documentation and Contracting Process for Research organizations
Support with Monitoring and Evaluation of Research Processes
Dissemination of Research Outcomes and findings
Maintenance of Management Information System (MIS) and Reporting
Essential Education and Experience Required

First Degree in a social science discipline
Good knowledge of research methodology, methods and techniques and ability to apply these in small scale research
Is able to summarize and interpret information and to conduct basic analyses of key data sets
Has knowledge of research procedures, legal and ethical issues and principles relating to research
Understanding of how research findings can be communicated to a wide range of audiences
Experience in working in an NGO or civil society sector

Ensure evidence for change is garnered and shared with technical officer on social networks and RTL
Lead in facilitation and mentoring of networks
Responsible for mentoring and monitoring network effectiveness
Support in developing and reviewing content for virtual spaces
Lead in providing facilitation support and mentoring of key RTLs
Responsible for mentoring and monitoring RTLs effectiveness
Link technical officer to activities for evidencing
Ensure evidence for change is garnered and shared with technical officer on social networks and RTL
Support planning and conduct of relevant events, including assistance to networks in campaigning, refresher trainings and cascading knowledge and skills
Essential Education and Experience Required

Minimum BSc Social Sciences (or any other relevant background)
5 years experience working with development, with particular focus on addressing social norms.
Key Competencies Required

Excellent facilitation skills: ability to relate/engage different categories of audiences in the training (including: young people, religious leaders, traditional leaders, women leaders etc.)
Someone who is Social Media savvy (familiar with the use of all social media platforms)
Experience in the use and development of Monitoring and Evaluation tools would be an advantage
