Lagos State Government – Bursary award was re-introduced in 1984 by the
administration of Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande in line with the
administration’s general populace outlook.
The dwindling nature of the
Government’s financial resources and the various projects competing for
attention of the administration influenced the decision to replace the
then scholarship award with bursary to all State indigenes in tertiary
institutions within the country, rather than just a small number of
beneficiaries enjoying scholarship prior to the advent of the
administration.
This is to notify students of Lagos State indigenes in Tertiary
Institutions across the country who have obtained Bursary Application
Forms that the interviews have been slated to hold in different parts of
the country and 5 Divisions of Lagos State as stated below:
Outside Lagos Zone
Dates – Venue:
- Monday 5th- Tuesday 6th October, 2015 – Zaria, Kaduna State – Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria
- Wednesday 18th- Thursday 19th November, 2015 – Benin, Edo State – University of Benin, Edo State
- Tuesday 6th – Wednesday 7th October, 2015 – Port-Harcourt, Rivers State – University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State
- Monday 12th- Tuesday 13th October, 2015 – Ilorin, Kwara State – University of Ilorin, Ilorin
- Tuesday 1st – Wednesday 2nd December, 2015 – Akure, Ondo State – Federal University of Technology, Akure
- Tuesday 17th – Wednesday 18th, November, 2015 – Abuja – Law School, Abuja

Requirements
Applicants should bring along original and photocopies of all relevant documents which should include:
- Letter of Admission
- Birth Certificate of Father
- Applicant’s Birth Certificate
- SSCE/GCE Result
- Receipt of purchase of Application Form
- Applicant’s Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) identification card
- Downloaded application form which has been filled.
- Identification Letter from Local Government
- Identification Letter from Oba
- Student’s School ID Card
- JAMB Result Slip
Note
- All applicants are expected to attend interviews in the zones closer to them.
- All applicants who want to attend the interview in the Lagos
Zone must go to their respective divisions, as no request will be
granted for private interviews after the stated period - There will be no sale of forms at the interview venues, please.
