Job Descriptions
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipments
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- visit farms and prospective poultry farmers
- Examine animals to diagnose their health problems
- Diagnose and treat animals for medical conditions
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M. or V.M.D.) degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine.
