The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the positions below at the Institute’s Headquarters, Ibadan.

Title: Field Worker III.

Position/Responsibilities

Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

Assist in spraying pre and post emergence herbicides on demonstration plots;
Assist in planting and maintaining cassava fields and general field work;
Assist in training partners and commercial farmers on effective stem cutting and packaging techniques;
Support the training of partners/investors on the correct usage of herbicides for weeding;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification &  Experience

O’Level with minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a related field.  

Skills and competences

Be able to follow instructions and work independently where necessary.
Have good organizational skills and demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
Be available to work outside office hours and for extended hours when necessary.
Display high energy level.
Agree to intensive travel.
