About the Recruitment Associate – Nigeria:

Andela is seeking a Recruitment Associate who will join the recruitment team responsible for finding, selecting, and enrolling brilliant young people across Lagos in Andela’s bootcamp program.

Your job is to ensure Andela is regarded as the number one career path of choice for brilliant young people in Lagos interested in becoming world-class developers. Success in doing this will mean that Andela is able to recruit and train the highest performing fellows at a lower cost than the competition every time.

In this job:

Your role is to relentlessly reach out to as many channels as possible as cost-efficiently as possible to find brilliant Nigerians interested in technology. You will lead the process from start to finish in finding, selecting, and enrolling brilliant young people across Nigeria in Andela’s bootcamp program keeping rigorous statistics and generating data-driven growth through new channels.

The specific responsibilities of this role include:

Developing, reviewing and implementing creative recruiting strategies to reach prospective applicants, as well as serving specific populations, such as women
Contribute to the overall success of the Talent Aquisition Team by providing a professional, high level of customer service and quality throughout the recruiting process
Leading Andela application website re-branding by offering suggestions on the look and feel of site alongside providing content relative to site subjects
Support the analytical needs of the Recruitment Department by analyzing lead applicants and new fellow data
Develop, coordinate and implement the calendar of fellow recruitment activities to ensure it is done in a timely and effective manner
Overseeing and ensuring strong management of all stages of the fellow recruitment process, including candidate screening and selection
Developing candidate evaluation systems that help to judge the presence, absence or efficacy of such qualification and qualities in prospective fellows
Managing marketing and recruitment budgets to ensure that expenditure maximizes return on investment
Partner with other teams to create and generate standard quarterly and year-end reports as well as ad-hoc reports to inform operational and workforce optimization decisions by managers and senior leadership
Define, develop, and document data needs and translate those needs into standard operational reports on recruitment and enrollment activities and results
Identify, recommend, and support the implementation of systems and process changes to create efficiencies in data collection, reporting, analysis and process optimization
Participate in both operational projects and strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams throughout the Office
Research Social Media Recruiting trends to offer best practices on how to utilize social sites as candidate networking tools
Manage Recruitment systems and activities to ensure that production and quality expectations are met
Analyze data and past methods to identify new initiatives and process improvements
Liaising and working effectively with contacts across all departments and at all levels within and outside Andela, to ensure a collaborative approach to recruitment
Maintain all documentation on recruitment process within the recruitment playbook
Actively recruit and manage Fellowship Applications
Managing of all stages of the fellow recruitment process, including candidate screening and selection

Qualifications

You:

Have excellent knowledge and passion about Andela’s mission and vision.
Able to convincingly sell Andela’s opportunity to prospective fellows.
Outgoing personality and a high comfort level speaking with young people
Understanding of how to best use different technology to reach prospective applicants.
Have excellent written and spoken communication skills as well as good listening skills.
Are a self-starter who can accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
Have sufficient familiarity with the technology sector
Have an ability to store, extract and review relevant data, and identify trends/insights that can contribute towards the improvement of the recruitment process.
