Bingham University, Karu was established by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) following its formal licensing by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on 5th January, 2005. As the name implies, the University was named after one of the trio of pioneer Sudan Interior Missionaries, Roland Victor Bingham whose vision along with those of other founding fathers desired to produce committed Christians in our institutions, including the University through which Christ-centred leaders would emerge.

Job Title: Chief Medical Director

Location: Jos

Job Description

  • The Chief Medical Director is charged with the responsibility for the execution of the policies, and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the affairs of the Hospital subject to the general control of the Management Board.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates aspiring for the position should be dynamic and visionary.

In addition, candidates must:

  • Be medically qualified and registered as such, for a period of not less than twelve (12) years.
  • Possess a postgraduate medical qualification obtained at least five (5) years prior to the date of this advertisement.
  • Have considerable administrative experience in matters of health.
  • Must be a dedicated believer in the Lord Jesus who believes and upholds ECWA Articles of Faith.

Conditions of Service
The conditions of service is similar to what obtains in Teaching Hospitals of Nigeria.

Tenure of Office

The appointment is for a term of three (3) years in the first instance, and may be renewed, subject to satisfactory performance and discretion of the Governing Board of BHUTH

Job Title: Director of Administration

Location: Jos

Duties/Job Description 
Successful candidate shall:

  • Serve as Secretary to the Management Board.
  • Conduct the correspondence of the Board and keep the records of the hospital.
  • Be responsible to the Chief Medical Director for the day to day general administration of the Teaching Hospital.
  • Serve as Chief Administrative adviser to the Chief Medical Director on general administrative matters.
  • Take charge of the general administration of the administrative department.
  • Participate in formulation, execution and review of policies as directed by the Chef Medical Director and for the Board.
  • Coordinate the activities of support departments in the hospital.
  • Perform such other functions as the Board or the Chief Medical Director, as the case may be, may from time to time assign to him/her.

Qualifications and Experience 
Applicants for the post of Director of Administration must possess the following qualifications as well as the criteria stated below:

  • Candidates aspiring for the position should be dynamic and visionary.
  • In addition, candidates must:
    • A professional degree in Health Services, Public Administration or Hospital Administration.
    • Minimum of 8 years to 10 years post qualification professional experience at a level not blow the post of Chief Administrative Officer in a Teaching Hospital or other similar comparable institution.
    • Membership of institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria is an added advantage.
    • Must be a dedicated believer in the Lord Jesus who believes and uploads ECWAA Articles of faith.

Remuneration
The remuneration and other conditions of service shall be as set out by the Board of Management of the Hospital guided by what is obtained in other Nigerian Tertiary Hospitals.
