INDIRECTLY REPORTS TO: Team Lead, Business Development
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Increase the sales volume of the company via seeking, winning and new accounts as well as maintaining current accounts in a profitable manner.


General Objectives of The Job

Maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the travel & tourism industry

Qualifications/Experience
B.sc/HND in Marketing, business studies or any social science discipline professional qualification is an added advantage.
At least 3 years of experience developing corporate travel sales
Worked with a corporate TMC or airline dealing with corporate customers
A driven professional with a passion for travel
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude
Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and other office packages
Good communication Skills.
Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
Analytical thinking, Team player with excellent personnel management skills.

Responsibilities

Independently develop new corporate travel customer relationships. Call, meet and present proposals about our services
Increase the turnover of the company through aggressive sales approach
Consult with, and grow promising customer relationships
Achieve annual sales targets with our travel support staff
Provide monthly sales reports, annual forecasts and proactive insights
Represent us at travel trade fairs and exhibitions
Build and negotiate relationships with suppliers in the travel industry
Keep up to date with the market and trends
Participate in internal product improvement and evaluation exercises

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;

Ability to proffer solutions to customers issues and enquiries;
Must possess adequate knowledge of your catchment area

Poses a Valid Driver License
Business Development role within a leisure or a corporate travel environment
Experience in developing and driving sales initiatives and identifying new business opportunities
Presentation and Negotiation skills including effective persuading a
Travel Industry knowledge and understanding of tendering and pricing processes
