 Job Title: Luggage Porter

DEPARTMENT    Front Office
REPORT TO    Duty Manager
RELATIONSHIP
INTERNAL    Front Office, Security, Housekeeping.
EXTERNAL    Guests
PURPOSE    To Greet and welcome all guest to the Resort and relieve guests of their luggage on arrival.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Checks daily arrival list for guests with special need.
To be present at the front desk.
Be ready to assist guests, visitors when requested.
Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage in an efficient manner.
Tag baggage and return the identification slip to guest.
Escort guests to room, placing luggage in room assigned by front desk
Inspect guest room for order and adequate supplies and informs guests of room amenities.
Delivers messages, packages to guest’s rooms and offices
Provide items on to guest and collect the items back form guest before departure.
Inform front cashier to charges items given on loan, in case there are any charges applicable.
Ensure that the guest the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for.
Update the luggage movement register.
Transport departing guest’s luggage from the room to the reception, then into a car after reconfirming with the guest.
Respond to guest requests and queries providing a knowledgeable, efficient and helpful information service.
Assist with answering the telephone and taking messages, transferring calls or dealing with enquiries.
To provide an efficient luggage storage, delivery and collection service.
Perform any other duties that might be assigned by the Management.

Qualification
Diploma in Hospitality industry or other related field
Physical Appearance
Physical fitness
Minimum experience required
Two years’ experience as a Porter or Custodian required.
Skills required
Excellent communication skills and good level of written and spoken English.
Good personality and positive interpersonal skills.



 Job Title: Front Desk Officer



DEPARTMENT

REPORTS TO   
Front desk Manager
RELATIONSHIP
INTERNAL   
Account, Housekeeping, Security, Admin & Maintenance

EXTERNAL    
Guests

PURPOSE    
To greet guests and allocate rooms according to laid down procedures

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To greet customer and identify his specific reservation.
To register the guests, ensuring that the necessary details are obtained, i.e. name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, charge details, nationality, passport number, e.t.c
To allocate rooms according to reservation list, ensuring that this is what the guest has booked, both in items of the rooms itself and the rate to be paid.
To liaise or alert housekeepers so that the guest’s language is taken to his room and the key is issued.
To update occupancy list.
To ensure that all departments, particularly restaurants, are notified of the tariff entitlements.
To complete office ledger book
All employees are expected to go about their duties in all environmentally responsible manners.

JOB SPECIFICATION


1 – Qualification
Diploma in Hospitality industry or other related field
2 – Minimum experience required
Two years’ experience as front desk representative, agent or relevant position as required
3- Skills required
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
Good personality and positive interpersonal skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
Good observation and presentation skills.

 Job Title: Maintenance Officer



DEPARTMENT

Operation/ Facility Manager
RELATIONSHIP

PURPOSE    
Maintenance and upkeep of property, buildings, furniture.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To fix resort lighting system and light bulbs, Maintenance of utility services including water, electricity;
Provide support and advice to all other staff on matters relating to property management,
Movement, repair and replacement of furniture, plumbing, electrical.
Request assistance where necessary.
Carries out any other official duties that may be assigned from time to time
Repairs and maintenance problems in all departments raised through JOB CARDS are attended to and fixed within time requested
To empty water tank completely and wash inside to remove dirty once every 2 weeks.
To service all resort equipment on time as per requirements
Check all equipment in all departments that it’s working and produce a report every Friday of the week.
Ensure there is diesel available  for generators
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, sockets and switches are all fixed and working.
Inspect electrical components, such as circuit breakers.
Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
JOB SPECIFICATION

Diploma in engineering and Electricity or other related field
Minimum experience required
Two years’ experience as maintenance officer required,

Team working, creativity and interpersonal skills.
