An insurance brokerage company is seeking to recruit the services of a qualified candidate for the position of:
 Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Lagos

Job Description

The successful candidate who will be based In Lagos shall report to the Managing Director and will:
  • Be responsible for building and managing efficient and streamlined operations, processes and systems relating to finance, accounting, treasury, procurement, IT, administration, contract and Internal Control.
  • Provide strategic leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company
  • Focus on strengthening the company’s capacity to develop, Implement and manage cost effective and efficient policies/practices, with particular attention to rigorous internal control systems and procedures.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer will include:
Financial Management:
  • Assess and fully develop the financial systems of the organization to superior levels of service and functionality
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that Includes the minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee financial management processes
  • Monitor the overall relationship with banking and other financial services partners
Financial Reporting:
  • Work with the Managing Director and Executive team to develop a robust financial strategy and ensure the organization’s targets are met or exceeded
  • Develop and monitor budget Implementation, and assess organizational performance against both annual budget and long-term strategy
  • Develop tools and systems to provide timely and Insightful analysis of financial results and forecasts, costs allocation and key metrics to the management team.
  • Support new businesses development Initiatives
  • Ensure that the accounts and periodic returns are up-to-date and In line with reporting standards. Prepare and send periodic reports In line with statutory requirements
Procurement, Facilities and IT:
  • Provide oversight for the procurement function to ensure the development and Implementation of policies, guidelines and procedures that ensure efficiency and transparency of the procurement system and the adoption of best practices in all dealings with vendors.
  • Provide oversight for the management of the organization’s infrastructure and assets including utilities, facilities, buildings and IT systems.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a first degree or its equivalent in Accounting or related discipline,
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body
  • Must possess at least 10 years post college experience In financial management and accounting reporting preferably in the Insurance brokerage sector, with a minimum of 3yeersln management role.
Competencies:
  • Experience In Interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial management and accounting.
  • Experience With budget developments well as legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Technologically savy, with demonstrable experience and understanding of technology solution such as MS Office, enterprise solutions, etc.
  • Experience In communicating key data effectively, Including presentations to senior management or the Board
  • Analytic and decisive with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • A hands-on manager with a high level of integrity and ethics.
  • High interpersonal skills a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable passion for the organization’s mission.

Job Title: Executive Director-Business Development
Location
: Lagos

Job Description

The successful candidate who will be based In Lagos shall report to the Managing Director and will:
  • Have primary responsibility to drive business development activities and lead business growth initiatives towards increasing the Company’s market share
  • Be responsible for facilitating the achievement of the Company’s business goals and objectives by developing and executing an effective marketing and penetration strategy as well as championing the efforts to expand client base and service/product offerings.
Responsibilities
  • Formulate, direct and coordinate business development strategies in line with the company’s strategic direction and corporate objectives
  • Design, develop, execute and monitor marketing/sales strategies and policies, process workflow and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Design, develop, execute and monitor the branding, promotions and advertising strategies and policies, process workflow and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Research, analyse and monitor market opportunities, competitions and trends
Qualifications
  • Must possess first degree or equivalent from a reputable higher institution.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
  • Must possess relevant professional certifications/qualifications. Certification in insurance (verifiable) would be an added advantage.
  • Must have at least 10 years post college experience in business development, sales and marketing In the financial services sector, 5 of which must be at senior management level
  • International work experience would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in successfully growing a financial services product (preferable in an insurance related company) would also be added advantage.
Competencies:
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing plan.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the insurance value chain and in particular the insurance brokerage market
  • A thoroughbred professional in sales and marketing
  • Must be dedicated and desirous to deliver beyond expectation, zealously.
