Job Description

  • British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for 1 Electronic Technician to join our Primary Manufacturing Department (PMD) in our Ibadan factory.
  • Our new colleague will ensure the reduction of breakdown on PMD machines and achieve maximum availability and efficiency through effective maintenance and provision of electro technical support to all PMD production machineries in line with best practices, at an effective cost, in a hygienic and safe working environment.
  • The job purpose is to provide technical support to the Primary Manufacturing Department to achieve production targets by ensuring continuous and cost effective operation of machinery through:
    • Minimization of unplanned machine related down time.
    • Optimization of spare parts and consumables usage.
    • Implementation and execution of preventative and curative maintenance plans.
    • Continuous observance of safe work policies and procedures.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG industry (preferable).
  • Possess analytical problem-solving capability.
  • Apply trouble shooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Minimize downtime through effective working practices.
  • PLC knowledge (Siemens S7 300/400, TwinCAT, Motion Control.

Job Description

  • British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for 2 Manufacturing Shifts Team Leaders to join our factory in Ibadan.

Job Purpose

  • To oversee and co-ordinate production activities in the department, making sure that processing activities within the section under his control are carried out correctly, safely and economically in line with PMD (Primary Manufacturing Department) best practice.

Key Accountabilities
Operational/Technical/Professional Results:

  • Ensures that set quality parameters are maintained during processing
  • Ensures supply of materials from relevant supporting departments for processing
  • Ensures production and maintenance records are kept.

Leadership Results:

  • Participates in quality Improvement initiatives and drives this in his section;
  • Ensures staff compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards;

Management Results:

  • Co-ordinate the resources and activities of the section to support the attainment of departmental goals within agreed budgets;

Relationship Results:

  • Ensures people development and motivates employees in his section;

Innovation Results:

  • Ensures continuous improvement in processes and maintenance procedures;

Business Context:

  • The day-to-day production activities in PMD need strict monitoring and good co-ordination. The Team Leader collaborates with the PMD Manager to implement the planned processing and maintenance activities of the department.
