Job Title: Vaccine Cold Chain System Technician
Location:
 Lagos

Purpose of the Position

  • The Vaccine Cold Chain System Technician will be responsible for providing technical support in the deployment of vaccine refrigeration systems used by public health clinics and other facilities across Nigeria
  • S/he will support the IT team in the operational functions of vaccine refrigeration system and ensures system operations at full capacity
  • S/he will also demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and independence to complete tasks and proven experience working in the field.

What you’ll do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for the planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating cold chain activities in Health units
  • Prepare reports, requisitions and account for vaccines equipment and other allocated resources
  • Participating in programme  researching, monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Oversee the safe custody of the vaccine cold chain equipment and maintain their functionality
  • Manage all on-site installation, maintenance, repairs and testing tasks to ensure proper documentation of all related processes and provide completed paperwork to users
  • Diagnose errors, technical problems and proffer accurate solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports utilizing training, service manuals, and computerized tools
  • Collaborate with technical team members and share information across the organization to build positive relationships with clients and coworkers
  • Satisfy customer needs by supplying recommendations and briefings using appropriate field automation systems, procedures, and protocols
  • Maintain user satisfaction through creativity and ingenuity to investigate inquiries, identify resolutions, suggest enhanced operating techniques, and recommend system improvements.
  • Advise users on the correct operation of cold chain equipment to enable them to utilize the appliances correctly.
  • Ascertain that outsourced engineering services have been done to the satisfaction of the Organization.
  • Manage inventory of work tools, spare parts and consumables related to maintenance and repair job routines
  • Manage repair and maintenance costs within budget.
  • Identify any risk(s) noted during the course of execution of your duties and formally report to your manager.
  • Use of proper safety procedures diligently and demonstrate a constant awareness for personal safety and safety of others

Who You Are
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from College or University in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or any related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in commercial refrigeration
  • High-level ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair refrigeration equipment.
  • Professional certification in ICT will be an added advantage (Refrigeration and /or trade certification).
  • Be proficient in the use of a computer system running a Windows operating system and Linux operating system.
  • Must understand the cold chain refrigeration control systems and wiring.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of immunization/vaccine supply chains
  • Must be familiar with terminal emulation programs like Teraterm
  • Must be able to use a multimeter for basic electrical/electronics troubleshooting
  • Must be willing to travel to various locations across the country on short notices.

Job Title: Medical Doctor
Location:
 Kano

Purpose of the Position

  • The clinic Medical Doctor will treat common acute and chronic medical conditions, provide basic pediatric services, vaccination, and basic trauma care.
  • We are currently recruiting a highly trained and motivated General Physician (GP) to provide clinical services to our clientele.

What You’ll Do
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • He/She will treat patients in  an outpatient clinic setting to ensure proper disease diagnosis, injury care, treatment and recovery, request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists as necessary.
  • The GP  will document care delivered and follow up care required using an Electronic Medical Record software.
  • Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
  • Some situations will require the GP to coordinate with local and national hospitals to determine local capabilities, coordinate referrals, monitor and arrange final disposition.
  • The GP will have a leadership role in the clinic.
  • He/She will work closely with the Finance Manager, eHA leadership and Kano clinic Medical Advisor to provide excellent clinical care in a financially sustainable manner.
  • He/She will work closely with health insurance companies and pharmacy benefits managers for care coordination and insurance reimbursement.
  • He/She will manage and supervise a team of 3-4 nurses to deliver clinical care at patients’ homes.
  • He/She will consult with consultant physicians nationally and internationally using telemedicine.
  • He/She will strictly adhere to treatment guidelines and clinic protocols developed by the Medical Advisor in line with current Best Practices and clinical evidence.
  • He/She will respect patient privacy and confidentiality and treat patients with compassion and professionalism.
  • Adheres to Policies and Procedures.
  • Adheres to eHealth Africa Code of Conduct as well as ethical standards of the field.

Who You Are
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited medical college with High Distinction (Top 10% of graduating class).
  • Must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 24 months in a 20+ bed hospital in the last 3 years.
  • Hold and maintain a current medical license to practice in Nigeria.
  • Ability to pass a written knowledge test and interview.
  • Certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Advanced Trauma Life Support highly desired.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute conditions such as malaria, typhoid, pneumonia, infectious diarrhea, sexually transmitted infections, intestinal parasitosis etc.
  • Diagnose and treat chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, asthma, peptic ulcers, musculoskeletal pain etc.
  • Knowledge and skills to provide vaccination.
  • Knowledge and skills to perform minor trauma care including suturing, plaster casting, I&D, debridement etc.
  • Knowledge and skills to stabilize trauma patients prior to transport to higher level of care.
  • Proficient in using a computer for patient care, documentation and communication.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills that include the ability to build effective teams, ability to motivate others, delegate, and make timely/quality decisions.
  • Proficiency working within specialized software utilized in program.

 

Job Title: Associate, EOC IT Support
Location:
 Bauchi

Purpose of the position

  • The Associate EOC IT Technical Support will serve as the functional link between Sales, Operations, Research and Development, Sustaining Engineering and Product Line Management with regards to the support of existing and new technology. Oversight and Development of region technical standards in engineering, sales and operations.

What You’ll Do
To perform this job successfully, the Associate EOC IT Technical Support will perform the following responsibilities which may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide “on-site” support to client and client’s customers as needed.
  • Responsible for escalating technical issues for Technical and Data Management Team.
  • Maintain the support log and make this available to the Client and/or Technology Provider as requested.
  • Ensure that all actions and discussions pertaining to software issues are escalated,
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of all eHA Data Solutions latest by working closely with the State  Data teams and sharing that information with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer and partner inquiries are responded to within established timeframes and customer care and support service levels are achieved.
  • Attend Client support meetings when required.
  • Review and create technical documentation
  • Support solution delivery, implementation and systems Management
  • Recommending high quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements Integrate hardware and software and giving prompt feedback to eHA.
  • Perform assigned first technical resolution tasks including study and  analysis of Technical/Geographic Data.
  • Assist with developing and implementation of eHA Related Applications and softwares.
  • Attends all EOC staff meeting and liaise with State  EOC Teams where necessary.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics  or any related field.
  • Minimum of Two (2) years IT Technical support experience preferably in an International NGO or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced level knowledge of telecommunications, IP design, and implementation skills, & in-depth knowledge of IP Network.
  • Ability to find the solution to complex network problems through creative thinking, analytical reasoning and past experiences along with available resources and information.
