We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • Network security Engineer is responsible for design, implementation and administration of enterprise security solutions.
  • The successful candidate in collaboration with other teams in the information technology division, will monitor security infrastructure of the bank, manage access to the banks network and services both from within and from public networks, manage third party service integrations and ensure that the groups network is well protected.
  • Provide support for all service within the DMZ

Requirements/Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Electronic Engineering or any related discipline. (B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, will be a distinct advantage)

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2/3 years post NYSC experience in IT/Network Security.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in enterprise security architecture design and enterprise security document creation.
  • Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.
  • Working experience with checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls, Web/Application filtering IDS/IPS
  • Installation, configuration, monitoring and response to security system
  • Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
  • Experience with IP networking, networking protocols, IPSec, Remote Client VPN’s and Site-2-site, Proxy services, Access lists
  • Experience with internet, web, application and network security techniques.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues timely
  • Sound knowledge of Routing and Switching, dynamic protocols A very strong sense of ownership with every assigned task
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft visio in developing network security architectures
  • Proficient in using ADC like F5 LTM and GTM.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure firewall rules to prevent un-authorized access to network/services
  • Investigate and resolve identified network/systems related security issues
  • Setup and manage site-2-site VPN connections with third parties
  • Perform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s security documents specifically.
  • Deployment of new services in the DMZ
  • Manage remote client VPN for vendors/partners and staffs on Fortigate platform
  • User access control management on Forti-authenticator
  • Prepare daily system state reports
  • Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
