Job Title: Oil Spill Response Executive / Coordinator

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include oil spill response management, operations, remediation Cost Planning, Setting up of activities, regulatory compliance issues and project management.
  • Responsible for championing plans and activities for support and service management in Oil Spill Response and Remediation team.
  • To Conduct Site assessments, develop work Plans, Identify Hazards, develop JHA etc.
  • Carry out Feasibility Studies of Impacted Environment using Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA) concept
  • Must be able to successfully manage or actively support the work team in a diverse, multidisciplinary group.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, stakeholders and regulators is also expected.
  • Developing conceptual site model (CSM) for Remediation sites in all projects
  • Report and documentation of daily activities on the site and Log Sheet
  • Cascade Learning from Incidents, best practices to drive consistency and standardize HSE practices in Remediation team.
  • Organize kick off meetings Cleanup remediation Team.
  • Wide experience in managing multiple small to medium-sized projects
  • Co-ordinate and drive HSE compliance with other local and International HSE regulations, in management of oil spills
  • Responsible for addressing Health Safety Security & Environmental issues that support Incident Free Operations at all times
  • Ability to secure FTO for land and Swamp Clean up and Remediation from host community
  • Must be able to effectively liaise with DPR, NOSDRA, SME and NAPIMS for a joint certification and close out inspection of clean-up/remediated sites
  • Co-ordinate all Swamp Cleanup and Remediation Project site Supervision
  • Managing and actualizing the work scope including progress, cost, quality, communication and interfaces
  • Plan and Co-ordinate Management facility inspections (MFIs) and pre-mob inspections.
  • Pre-mob inspection of contractors’ equipment and facility in readiness for mobilization to project site.
  • Lead site HSE inspections, Audits and Project HSE challenge sessions
  • Analyses HSE indicators and monitor trends.
  • Supervise execution of remediation activities on site – Project planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring and reporting
  • Monitor site hazard identification and application of adequate controls – JHA, PTW, Integrated Impact Assessment (IA), follow up of audit actions, compliance with the lifesaving rules
  • Prepare a complete documentation of all site report including unsafe acts and conditions, nearmiss reporting, tool box talks, meeting with contractors, site visits reports
  • Complete DPR certification form for DPR endorsement and complete SPDC prepared joint certification form for other members of the joint team for signing
  • Delineate areas of impact according to classes of impact.
  • Capability in Skilled equipment operations including, but not limited to, pump operations and hand tools
  • Monitor and co-ordinate Waste management (Identification, Segregation and disposal technique)
  • Carry out any other job that may be assigned accordingly.

Qualifications

  • A first degree in Environmental Management, Engineering or any equivalent from a reputable university
  • A masters degree will be an advantage

Job Title: Laboratory QA/QC Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for ensuring effective quality control and quality assurance practices are in place and effective in the Laboratory.
  • Will be responsible for the operation of the quality control lab including procedures, people, and equipment.
  • Will be responsible for adherence to the Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives for QC operations.
  • Maintain the Laboratory’s Quality System
  • Update, revise, and maintain the Laboratory’s Quality Assurance Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and other quality documents.
  • Perform internal audits of the Laboratory, including both technical and quality systems audits.
  • Perform and document corrective action, including follow up monitoring to gauge the effectiveness of the corrective action.

Job Description

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Support execution of environmental projects involving site investigations and remedial investigations and remediation projects using routine and innovative technologies for cleanup/removal of hazardous wastes, contaminated soils and groundwater

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Attends to visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or attending to inquiries.
  • Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.

Job Title: HSE Officer / Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the effective implementation of the Company’s HSE-MS
  • Create awareness amongst staff of HSE practices.
  • Create safety awareness actions on site and enforce safety measures and guidelines.
  • Conduct or co-ordinate HSE audits
  • Conduct safety inductions for new employees, attachés, youth corps members and contractors on site.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure objectives are met.
  • Provide support to Project and Operations teams in all aspects of safety, occupational health safety and environmental issues.
  • Ensure training, tool box meetings and drills are implemented as part of the company’s training and HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc,
  • Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
  • Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
  • Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.

  • Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters.
  • Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements.

  • Engage in daily routine safety inspections of the site.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in such a manner that minimizes the risks to employees, contractors, property and equipment.
  • Undertake accident/incident investigations as the needs arise and implement remedial/preventive actions against re-occurrence of such (accident/incident)
  • Investigate all accidents, near-misses, fire outbreaks and write reports.
  • Manage Safety Statistic reporting. Track and provide regular HSE performance reporting.
  • Provide HSE aspects of Company Bid Submissions as requested.
  • Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the Marine or Oil and Gas industry
  • Must have done relevant HSE trainings with certificates

  • Working knowledge of applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations.

Job Description

  • The Environmental Manager is responsible for overseeing the environmental teams and units.
  • A knowledgeable environmental manager will combine organisational and management skills with expertise on environmental issues and regulations to advice and help businesses and clients
  • Coordinate all aspects of Environmental Studies, Health and Safety, pollution control, waste management, Oil spill clean up and remediation, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy

Job Title: Environmental Executive/Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects (project development, field activities, Subcontracted services and reporting) associated with HSE, environmental studies, pollution control, environmental due diligence, environmental sampling, monitoring and procedures, and all environmental studies work.
  • Conduct and assist the environmental team in conducting various environmental studies (EIA, ESHIA, PIA, EA, EER, Safety Case, EMR, ESR, and PIAR among others as assigned).
