Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description
Reporting Relationships:

  • Functionally reports to: Warehouse Manager & Accountant
  • Administratively reports to: Warehouse Manager & Accountant

Job objective(s)

  • Receives, stores and stocks products and merchandise
  • Picking, packing and preparing orders
  • Compiles stock records
  • Schedule deliveries and pick-ups

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Counts and sorts incoming goods and verifies against freighting invoices
  • Picking, packing and dispatching of goods
  • Preparing delivery notes
  • Checks inventory periodically to determine reordering needs and verify with records and notifies Store Manager of fast-moving items
  • Places or changes price tags on merchandise
  • Prepares inventory status report for the Store Manager
  • Maintain the warehouse to provide a safe, clean and organized environment
  • Troubleshoot any assigned problems with purchase orders, deliveries or pick-ups that require special attention
  • General ad hoc admin duties

  • Accuracy and timeliness of delivery notes
  • Accuracy and timeliness of picking and packing an order

  • Frequency of un-reconciled orders and deliveries

Minimum Education Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND
  • Required Experience
  • 1 – 2 years inventory control experience

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Job Description

Reporting Relationships:

  • Functionally reports to: Head, Finance and Accounts
  • Administratively reports to: Head, Finance and Accounts
  • Supervises: Warehouse Supervisoro

Job objective(s)

  • To oversee all store operations to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare central store and outlets stock-level reports
  • Create and enforce a short turn-around time for processing of requisition and purchasing orders
  • Liaise with distributors and wholesalers
  • Oversee assessment of inventory turns, receiving and shipping orders, warehouse space allocations
  • Monitor and control allocation of company resources for effective, efficient and timely product delivery
  • Ensure that delivered products conform with order specifications
  • Control inventory investment and loss
  • Take numerical inventory of merchandise supplied to the outlets.
  • Coordinate inventory items dispatch for prompt delivery of product to outlets.
  • Coordinates labeling of product to be distributed to branches.
  • Receives out of stock inventory from outlets and document.
  • Receives faulty goods from Customer care and report to Head of Department for further action
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for defects, reporting any damage to line Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditure and goods used or issued.
  • Compile, review and maintain data from purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents
  • Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.

Minimum Education Qualifications

  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in a numerate field
  • Required Experience Requirements: 3-5 years’ cognate experience
