We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Account Officer (Receivable and Payable)

Location: Lagos
Reports To: Treasury Accountant

Details

  • Job location and working hours: The position is located at Alagbado Lagos, Nigeria.
  • Working time is normally between 7:30am-5pm Mondays to Fridays and 8:30am-3pm on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting of company’s Payables and Receivables daily.
  • Preparation of customer’s statement monthly.
  • Credit control
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Capturing customer’s daily credit alerts in bank and updating their various accounts accordingly.
  • Identifying all due invoice and chase up for immediate payment by calling or sending SMS to all concern customers.
  • Verification of all banking transaction daily.
  • Reconciliation of customers account as at when needed in customer’s office.
  • Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of the data held within the finance systems and the security of the related data entry processes
  • Ensure that key financial processes are properly documented and updated and review with a view to improve efficiency
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

  • Applicant should have B.Sc in Accounting
  • Applicant must have ICAN or ACCA certification.

Job Title: Quality Control Officer

Location: Lagos
Reports To: Quality Control Manager
Level: Senior Staff

Details

  • Job location and working hours: The position is located at Alagbado Lagos, Nigeria.
  • Working time is normally between 7:30am-5pm Mondays to Fridays and 8:30am-3pm on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the equipment and the entire production areas meet the hygiene standard before the commencement of production
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with standards
  • Work with operating staff to enforce procedures, standards, systems and procedures
  • Record and analyze statistical information
  • Supervise internship student
  • Take a random check of the batter, icing sugar and frying at a regular interval
  • Carry out a raw materials check list and process check during production activities such as mixing, frying, etc.
  • Ensure that specification of weight of the raw materials meets with the standard
  • Ensure that the workers comply with good manufacturing practice (GMP) and good hygiene practice (GHP) of the factory
  • Ensure that standard operating procedure (SOP) is followed throughout the whole production process
  • Follow the QC Standard of operations for assigned department
  • Ensure that the packaging machine is clean and free from debris, dust and crumbs before production
  • Ensure uniformity of the product packed in terms of the colour, size, shape etc.
  • Ensure proper coding and sealing of the finished product
  • Report any irregularity to the quality control manager.

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Lagos
Reports To: General Manager Operations
Level: Managerial

Job Summary

  • The production manager is to ensure planning, organizing, leading and controlling of human and other resources to meet the organizational production target. The holder must ensure effective and efficient methods of production that will be cost efficient and sustainable.
  • The position holder must have knowledge of production machines such as Mixer, Packaging Machine, Kneader, Fryer, and similar industrial food processing machines.

Core responsibilities

  • Ensure that the department operates at 90% efficiency level every day
  • In collaboration with maintenance department, ensure all machines runs at maximum efficiency level and are serviced as at when due
  • Ensure every shift meets and exceed the set target with minimum waste level
  • Ensure operations is not delayed or shut down because of inadequate raw material
  • Curb lateness, absenteeism , insubordination and other indiscipline among staff by recommending to HR appropriate sanctions
  • Promote teamwork, harmony, fairness among the supervisors and staff
  • Identify and recommend for promotion/reward diligent and committed staff
  • In collaboration with HR department, ensure a viable succession plan for all strategic position such as supervisors, machine operators and other key roles.
  • Manage the headcount of staff to ensure the department is not over staffed or under staffed at every point.
  • Coordinate all production activities and ensure the final products meets the highest level of quality
  • Ensure proper documentation of all activities about operations; machine downtime, shift reports, output, etc.
  • In collaboration with production administrator, ensure that raw materials needed to achieve normal and impromptu production target are available before commencement of production.
  • Ensure highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all units and around the chin-chin department.
  • Implement and sustain the 5s in the department

Other responsibilities:

  • Suggest to management ways of improving production in a cost effective manner
  • In collaboration with safety department, ensure all staff comply with all health and safety standard; staff wear required PPE always, PPEs are in good and hygienic condition
  • Must have a working knowledge of all machine operations including spare part, and general maintenance insight.
  • Ensure the department runs as a viable revenue centre and eliminate every form of human and material waste
  • Suggest the right equipment configuration to facilitate the attainment of department goals.
  • Ensure that the sales order for product is properly managed and fulfilled on a daily basis
  • Introduces best practices into production and ensure that all parts of the floor are productively engaged at the same time.
  • Ensure any incident, accident, near miss and unsafe act/situation is adequately handled.
  • Any other responsibility assigned to you by management.

Challenges:
This position has the following challenges among other ones;

  • Occasional over time as a result of large order
  • Working with unskilled temporary staff
  • Turnover and absenteeism rate may be high if unchecked and that will affect daily production target
  • Scheduling and planning different shift
  • Monitoring different machine operators
  • Controlling wastage ; nylon, packaging material, and others
  • Developing accurate weekly production plan

Job Title: Generator Operator

Location: Lagos
Reports To: Maintenance Coordinator

Job summary

  • The Generator Technician performs a variety of skilled and technical tasks in the inspection, repair, preventive, and corrective maintenance and modification on Internal Combustion (IC) engines, diesel generators, and other IC gaseous engines; tests, replaces or adjusts engine components such as valves, pistons, bearings, emissions systems, and other related systems; and, interprets schematic wiring etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and services on all makes and models of generator sets.
  • Identify the problem and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps, determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts.
  • Apply proper engine technical skills in inspection, disassembly, failure analysis, assembly, diagnosis, and engine operating performance tests.
  • Troubleshooting equipment and servicing generator components including alternators, wiring harnesses safety devices, shutdown switches, and battery systems.
  • Inspections, repairs, services and start-up load bank test requirements on equipment.
  • Conduct automatic and manual transfer tests of simulated power outages to ensure generators are functioning properly.
  • Test batteries, fuel coolant, and oil; ship oil samples for analysis.
  • Transport and dispose hazardous materials.
  • Perform load testing on units to identify possible problems and prevent wet stacking.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, thermal, and hydraulic principles and practices.
  • Follow electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
  • Lockout/tagout Procedures.
  • Appropriate electrical and mechanical personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • IC Diesel and other gaseous IC engines.
  • Technique in tracking, transporting, and disposing hazardous materials.
  • Rigging standards and principles of safe and efficient methods for handling heavy objects.
  • Computer technology.

Person specification
He/she must have ability to:

  • Read electrical and mechanical drawings and prints.
  • Use mechanical and electrical testing and calibration equipment.
  • Follow applicable state and national regulations; safety guidelines; and procedures.
  • Rebuild engines.
  • Interpret and analyze characteristics of oil samples.
  • Record and track the transporting of materials.
  • Rig and handle heavy objects.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts.
  • Climb into confined spaces that may contain hazardous gas.

Required skill:

  • Interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Identifying and repairing problems with engine control systems.
  • Interpreting schematic diagrams and wiring. “

Educational requirements:

  • Applicant should have OND in relevant field such as Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, etc.
  • Over 3 years experience as a generator operator in a manufacturing company.
  • Relevant certification and training in generator maintenance.
