Technical Officers Job in a New Internationally Funded Project in Abuja

A new project with international development funding, aims to strengthen the capacity of Nigerian NGOs to advocate to government to meet commitments in child and family health at national and state levels. We have vacancy for smart, dedicated and hardworking MPh graduates to fill the positions below:

 

Job Title: Senior Technical Officer
Location
: Abuja-FCT
The project focuses on the following issue areas in public health:

  • Family Planning,
  • Routine Immunization,
  • Childhood killer Diseases (Diarrhea and pneumonia)
  • Systems strengthening through implementation Primary Health Care Under One Roof policy

Job Description

  • The ideal candidate will provide technical oversight and supportive supervision to sub-grantee NGOs in the areas of – project management and workplan development; quality assurance checks of technical documents; support for M&E and documentation; support for organizational development.
  • The ideal candidate will also produce detailed reports of the outcome of supportive supervision.

Requirements
Qualified candidates MUST:

  • Have strong report writing skills with competences in data analysis and data visualization
  • Have a strong knowledge of child and family health policies in Nigeria
  • Hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Economics or Biostatistics
  • Have experience working in or with non-profits
  • Have experience in a Research or M&E
  • Have knowledge of health systems at national level and in programming states
  • Have minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience with international development programs working in NGOs, government or donor agencies
  • Have the capacity for high-level interaction with partners and stakeholders
